  1. I definitely have bigger issues with the first two sets of pictures that I do the third. If I saw the black and white set of gloves at the rink and wanted a pair I'd probably end up buying them from GoalieMonkey and CCM would end up with some money in their pockets anyway. I guess the fact that Scott B. isn't trying to pass the work off as his own is why it annoys me less. The Kenesky and the other Battram sets really bother me. As others have said, to each their own, but I know both shops are capable of doing better work than that. On a related note, both the Vaughn XP set and the Smith set they supposedly copied look an awful lot like a custom graphic I had Scott Battram do for me years before either line of pads launched. Maybe I should call Mike Vaughn up and demand free gear for copying my "Fang" graphic idea. Or maybe I'll just accept that fact that sooner or later graphics may overlap. At least until everyone starts screenprinting graphics like Bauer and all of us can have purple pads with unicorns farting rainbows...
  2. Good looking stuff for sure! I couldn't bring myself to buy something I couldn't try on though. I know the VE8 Pro Carbon isn't an exact replacement for the T3500 I was looking for, but Source for Sports had a big sale last week, and with the exchange rate I was able to pick it up for under $400 shipped so I took a chance. Boy am I glad I did! For me this thing is a perfect fit. I was able to get it almost as broken in as my 2 year old Brian's Gnetik II by baking it and working with it for a couple days, and wore it in a game last night. I had zero popouts (a regular occurance with both Brian's gloves I had worn previously) and pucks just seemed to naturally find the pocket. As an added bonus, my passing wasn't negatively affected the way it has been in the past when I switched gloves. I can't recommend this thing highly enough for those who want an old-school Vaughn feel!
  3. A couple clarification questions: Which Kenesky glove were you referring to? And while i'm not doubting that it works better for you, I'm skeptical of anything I can't try on, so what exactly is superior about it? Secondly, I've also not been a Velocity guy in the past. The break has felt off and at least one that I tried on had an awful V closure instead of the U closure I liked on my old Vaughn. So I know what you're saying about not being a fan of the gloves previously. But when you say your hand felt cocked forward I'm not sure I'm understanding you. Do you mean your fingers were in front of the heel of your hand, or that your thumb was ahead of your pinky? Thanks for being willing to help me reach a good decision.
  4. So messing around with the VE8 PC XP at Peranis the other day it felt pretty darn close to my beloved old T3500. I've been through a few gloves since that one but have never found one that worked for me the way it did. Is there anyone who's used both a T35/5500 and a VE8 (don't care which cuff style) and can compare/contrast the two for me? I'm getting worn out buying gloves every few years that are almost but not quite right. Thanks!
  5. Not only do we have a full scale production brewery, we've also got two taprooms and coming soon a BrewDog hotel with taps in every room! https://www.brewdog.com/usa/
  6. Oddside is the bomb! The brewery is about a 90 minute drive from my cottage and I plan on hitting it up this summer. My usual summer road trip is to Holland Mi to get some Dragon's Milk straight from the source, but I think Oddside is going to get the nod this year. I live about 30 minutes from the BrewDog brewery in Columbus, and their Elvis Juice is my daily driver. Lucky Pucker, I'm down for a Tshirt for sure. Maybe a jersey...
  7. Hey @Doobiesnax, any update on how this is holding up? I'm debating between a DIY partial wrap from Outer Layer Skins and looking into hydrodipping.
