  1. That's tough Coop. It's not like you can split the difference easily. Which team is willing to contribute to the cost?
  2. Wierd. I get what's below:
  3. The stock graphic seems to lend itself to lighter color schemes and certain color combos. I didn't come up with anything I liked when I went with the black, green and orange combo that I really wanted to go with. However, when I went lighter I had better luck, and I was able to do a couple dark sets that were pretty good in Tampa colors. I love that they offer the Classic graphic alongside the stock one. My preferred/team colors worked way better with the Classic. Stumbling into the idea of doing a retro Andy Moog'ish set was pure serendipity and was what sealed the deal for me.
  4. Customizers are up now. http://www.warriorgoaliecustomizer.com/
  5. Any feedback from longer term users re: lifting/peeling? That has been my biggest concern with a vinyl wrap even when I was under the impression it was printed and applied rather than build up piece by piece.
  6. Agreed. I might do the thin vertical stripe on the pads (the one I did in green) in red. If you don't want it on the pads just do a separate order for the gloves. I ended up doing that because I didn't like how the brown binding looked on the gloves, so I ordered them separately with a white binding.
  7. Very Cool! I like the white inner area of the Classic design. White weave for the sliding surface?
  8. I wouldn't call the Supreme "streamlined". I'd wait to check out the R/GT2 or maybe the CCM EFlex Shield. Vaughn VE8 Pro Carbon might be worth a look as well.
  9. It's official, these will be here in 8-10 weeks along with matching V1+ sticks. After trying on R/GT's a couple times to get the size right I can't wait to see how these feel in person!
  10. I'll second this. Bungee type toe ties have been a huge help over the last couple years in dealing with my knee/hip soreness.
  11. The new hand position in the glove sounds amazing. Can't wait to try it out when it shows up at retail!
  12. Jeff, I agree with you 100%. Their loudmouth antics and poor customer service (in my one and only experience with them anyway) are the largest reason I'm glad they're gone. However, DL specifically disputed that Simmons ripped off other companies, which is totally laughable when you consider their entire body of work.
  13. No, it IS true. You've got one example of someone who designed but did not release an original pad while working there. The simple fact is that Simmons were the biggest pack of knockoff artists on the market. They were certainly not the only ones who'd buy another MFG's pad, deconstruct it and copy it part for part, but they were certainly the biggest and loudest.
  14. Great topic! So many of my good pictures of the pets are at home on the computer I use for Photoshop/Lightroom, but I've got a couple on my phone: Vladimir Katstintinov (named after my favorite player of all time) My brother's cat Perri, who looks and acts a little like Batman: And my sister's cat Noah, who we accuse of being Hannibal Lechter in feline form. He's a total charmer, right up until he decides to rip your face off and eat it! My wife and I also have 2 more cats, and there are several more and a dog in the extended family, but I don't have good pics handy for them.
  15. Oh don't get me wrong, I understand why Jeep did it. But after growing up in a suburb of Toledo and driving past the Jeep plant every time I drove to the rink I developed a love of the traditional 2 door Wrangler. I know it's a silly thing to be a purist about, but it it what it is. The Gladiator looks SICK! Let me know how you like it. I didn't think Caddy was still churning those things out. I had a buddy looking for one a couple years ago and used were almost the price of a new sedan. I think it's safe to say we're not going to agree on cars.
  16. Pretty sure Buick makes a wagon too if you'd prefer to support domestic MFGs.
  17. Say what you will, but her Trailhawk is plenty capable for casual offroading on the dunes and offroading courses near my cottage in Michigan. It's not like she was going to go for some hardcore offroader, and I refused to consider a 4 door Wrangler.
  18. You just need a second car for snowy days. I'm in central Ohio, so we don't have the legit hardcore snow that those of you to the north do. For the occasional day the Mustang can't handle I break down and borrow my wife's new Cherokee Trailhawk. And by break down I mean gleefully steal the keys and try to resist the urge to take it places it would love to go, but she would freak out about.
  19. Man, I use the heated seats in the SUMMER after leaving the rink. They do a great job of loosening up a tight back. I make fun of fancy people with vibrating seats in their cars but I'll be honest, the minute I don't have to buy a Bimmer, Merc or some other snob-mobile to have them I'll be ticking that options box on every car I buy.
  20. I used to think my Mustang convertible was the worst vehicle to haul gear to the rink in (and it's still not good) until one of the guys I play with had his car break down, and he had to borrow his dad's second car for the day. I'll let the picture speak for itself... Oh, to make it better? In true British sports car fashion the trunk won't open, and the luggage rack isn't secure enough to actually lash anything of value to.
  21. Good luck man. My Step blades that NoIcing set up for me were the best set of steel I've ever had. I'll be sending my current set of Tydan steel off to NoIcing shortly for a double radius. The Goalie-Sam profile that Tydan put on the blades for me before shipping just hasn't worked well for me, so I'm looking forward to getting back onto something I know and trust.
  22. LOL, totally! I even wear skinny hockey pants. I used to wear Kenesky for the retro factor, but now it's way too mainstream for me so I make my pads out of upcycled Styrofoam packing material and organic, environmentally friendly vegan leather.
  23. Hey now, I play for two teams with plaid in the color scheme (one red, one green). It works in an ironic sort of way. We pulled players from both teams for a recent tournament and called ourselves Hipster Christmas. It also just hit me that the guy who designed both jerseys looks slightly like the dude pictured above although I've never seen him wear a douchey hat like that one...
  24. Personally I'm hoping for something dark and muted. A nice dark green for the base color with a dark dark grey and bright silver as an accent color. MTH, that would work great if the team was going to Portland OR, or somewhere in Cali!
