Quadzilla32 Posted May 30, 2020 Share Posted May 30, 2020 Hey guys, want to get my mask either wrapped or painted but had some questions for you guys who have had it wrapped. When getting vinyl wraps do the companies actually build you a custom print? I have seen several brands and they seem to only offer generic wraps with a logo imposed on it. I want to create a custom graphic but don’t know if that’s possible. If I do get it painted anyone have a recommendation that doesn’t break the bank? I’ve always wanted to get eye candy to paint mine but the job alone will be the same if not more than the mask, granted it’s an awesome job. ZeroGravitas Posted May 31, 2020 Share Posted May 31, 2020 I had a poor experience with JF Aumais. He madea cool design, and the color looked exactly the way I wanted it looked great. But when it was printed and applied on the mask, it looked pinkish rather than red. He said his printer couldn't handle the red of his render. He said there was nothing he could do. I wish he could have given me the heads up before. I would not have gone with him if I had known his printer couldn't reproduce the color of his design. jfaumais Posted May 31, 2020 Share Posted May 31, 2020 At the time, I had my design prints outsourced by a company and they always had issues with bright reds. It was just a hobby at the time. Shortly after you did your mask, I decided to go full time in this and I purchased my own machines in the fall of 2019 and have no issues with any colors anymore. Got an email from him last night and he said that you can give him some pictures to reference and go off of and he creates something or you can be very hands on and detailed oriented.
