I only laugh because my half-sister has a twelve year old who would get into 31’s I could even wear 31s now. His baby daddy is 6’6” but thats his only positive as he not a good man but my nephew is a good kid. Thats awesome you got youngins @Wonder35
Man I know where another gumby blocker like that is and yes @bunnyman666 posted in in this thread. its cool as hell you saved this for your grandson even if he never uses it. My grandad was never supportive and wanted me to play a sport I didn’t like and am way to short for. Loved that man anyway and we got it together before he passed. Cool stuff @Wonder35
Thanks I bought this set from my buddy who promised it to me if I could find kinda matching pads. My hands are small and I can get my hand and a golf glove in that glove. Its actually kinda bigger than my modern spec glove. Aint tried it out on ice yet but I sprayed the hell outta the cordura so it might not stick to the ice. That was my first plunge into gear modding my buddy was very helpful. He had some calf wedges and maltese knee flaps gave me sailthread and a curved needle.
Epic fros! Im a mixed race guy playing hockey in the 80s some coaches were real strict about hair. I think the mullet came from some coaches hair restrictions. Off the ears out of the eyes. I had a Gumby shag with stripes on my sides back the the day coach wasn’t happy with the stripes but liked the tight sides ofcourse he wore a flattop. Our goalies nickname was Jesus for a variety of reasons.
GDI is one I heard of but never saw in the NHL but Torspo was big in the 70s and 80s in Europe but Butch Goring wore a Torspo SPAPS helmet and they also made the biggest goalie cage ever.
I was under the impression that you just disregard bauer or itech with these guys new stuff cause there tryna be there own brand. Obviously the quality is up there but bauer stuff was bauer stuff and jrz is doin there own thang.
Hairdryer aint gonna get hot enough you need a small iron like what you put monocote on rc airplanes htv depends on pressure and hairdryer provides no pressure I think that iron costs $30
I felt downright sorry for the san jose fans and wondered if the team was gonna survive. Crappy teams dont bring in dollars and you need dollars to run a pro team. I got high hopes as long as they dont steal jake allen from my blues lol
The only thing I can say about htv is that it does work itself off from bending as my Brians pads have missing letters from the last person who put htv on them but its easy enough to put it back on if you use a monocote iron like you use on rc airplanes its easier to use and get into tight spots like inside inset graphics. Set it at 300 degrees and your good. There is also htv removal stuff its liquid that you can get rid of the glue residue i discovered it when I got some jerseys that had crap didnt like on them. Great work on those pads. Get that monocote iron and some teflon paper and you can touch up where it lifts easier than with your clothes iron.
Wont get into the politics of arena names but for the success of the team, they need a chance to do something straight off some expansion teams were so terrible they never survived. California Seals come to mind.
Your Kraken have a great chance to be a krakenjack team when they get all there good picks ain’t like San Jose with their team of misfits and long in the tooth players.
