Bauer bumps in True 2-Piece skates
Charlie T replied to Cedricls31's topic in Skates + Holders + Steel
I have a pretty big bump as well and have had zero problems with the fit, performance or comfort of the True skates prior to adding a Bauer holder, however the craftsmanship was less than ideal. The liner was slightly peeled from the glue when I first got them, which was annoying but completely cosmetic because they still perform great and are the best skates I've ever had. Would definitely recommend. -
Anyone aware of when the Hyperlite Stick Customizer will be available?
-
I recently got True skates and swapped the holder for vertexx, I didn't like the height of the true holder and I have yet to have problems with the switch, I feel like I have much more control with the Bauer holder
-
A retailer will be able to order it for you.

I Believe Eflex is closest due to its "soft flex"
-
I believe the CCM 600 is a 50 degree

Definitely agree with the Vaughn consensus, however one thing about vaughn that other companies just don't have is the core customization options for the average customer. Vaughn can build almost anything you want in a pad while other companies will only make an entirely custom specced pad for pros.

I personally love Binnington's even-keel mindset, but I definitely understand what you mean about being overhyped After the Hank news, Anderson was signed to a tryout and they kept him.
-
Why the hate for Binnington? Anderson is with the Capitals as their 3rd/Taxi goalie (right now he is the backup because samsonov is in AHL to get a rhythm going
-
right, him and jones using new True branded gloves with old no-logo pads
-
In the NHL, yes. He is still using the pads from last year, I believe Jeremy Swayman in the Bruins Organization is also using a 12.1 set from Pre-True signing.

My first composite stick was a warrior CR3 a few years ago, had foam cores and always cut those paddles, first time using the composite with the paddle cut, snapped right where I cut it on the first shot. Could be that Warrior sticks don't hold up well to paddle grip cutting.

Got 2 certified cat-eye cages from goalie parts who I believe is OTNY manufacturer (correct me if I'm wrong) and they both bent after a few months use as well as not fully fitting the height of my Bauer Profile (if you follow Trav4Oilers it is the same things with the bottom 2 cage screws that he has). I was shame because the visibility was great, but I had to go back to my standard Bauer straight bar.

I haven't heard of any durability issues with the HPG pants and I've always liked the feel of ccm premiers because I've always worn them so Id like to stick with ccm. Might also look into the Bauer PRO pants on their website.

I think it is because of the pant legs chaffing against each other, the rips are on the inside corners.
