  1. Why? More important things are time and right degrees. This kind of topic and there is always ten different answers and most of answers you should just pass. If you don't know what to do, go to real pro shop.
  2. What is that Vaughn Velocity Iceberg "Vision"? I can't feel any retro vibes.
  3. Right now I hate it, I hate it like someone hate paintings of Daveart, things were better in the 90s. Too much blue and the blue color of helmet is off. The blue in Saros mask would be the perfect blue. Honestly it takes some time to get used to that Colorado new color scheme. And I really don't like it.
  4. Don't forget the KIA save of the night. And If Canes scores over two goals YOU can buy two hamburgers for price of one. There is lot of ads in TV broadcast if you compare Europe. Here Europe the ads are in the jerseys and ice not in the mouth of commentator or my TV screen
  5. 99% of Euro pro teams have a contract with (normally) one company and goalies and players wear what they must wear. There is lot of goalies who wear gears they don't like. Big names can maybe have some special deal that they can use unbranded catcher or so. In KHL (most teams) they get some gear money and use what they want. E. But overall it's nice to see NHL 21 is here, Daveart paints some mask and guys get some new gear...everything is ugly, wrong or bad in somehow Even my daughter can make it better. Weŕe not in the 90s anymore.

    Warrior G5

Seems like problems are only in Int-pads. Sr sizes are ok and they used better quality synthetic leather.

    Warrior G5

I hope the problems are only in Int- sizes. I bet those wrinkles don´t help with better sliding or make it more durable. And I have no reason to be hard on Warrior, normally their products don´t look like that.

    Warrior G5

I am Warrior fan boy or at least I have used Warrior gear last two sets and I´ve been very happy. I am working at hockey shop, so I´ve seen lot of Warrior gear and I don´t remember any problem with craftsmanship, stitching etc and overall quality has been great (especially if you forget G4 landing area) and all products have been very well made. But when I took very quick look to our first batch of G5s , there was wrinkles and stitchings didn´t go straight and leather material they used felt cheap, overall the whole Int- pad felt cheap . To be honest pads felt like 2005 Sr made in China X-pulses or so. I really hope that problems are in my head and pads work as those are designed to work like jfu91 said.
  9. That is not same logo it is only similar and look like a refreshed -2020 version. Or maybe the designer of both logos is same person.
  10. I really like that graphics in vertical rolls are back! Ten years ago it was almost impossible to get a single color outer roll without custom order and last ten years all outer rolls have been single color. Little later all blockers started to look like a right leg pad.
  11. I tried RBK P1 pads once and I really hated those, since those days I have hated how Premier pad looks and play. The new CCM P2 pads were first Premier model I could give a shot. Now Axis pad is totally different than any previous Premier pad and maybe I´ll order a custom set. Only problem is I don´t like the graphics.
  12. I think C/A and stingers is very personal thing. While NHL is the best league in the world and most of best players play in NHL, it doesn´t mean that you can´t get some bruises when playing with any adult guys. I´ve played with NHL/ Euro pro and regular Joes (I mean the good ones) and after all there is not SO MUCH difference between their shot quality/power, or maybe in quality but not power. Especially when you give regular Joes time and space. Both 80 and 90 mph shot can hurt when it hits in wrong place. NHL goalies have the best chance to get a custom C/A from factory and many Euro goalies have to use a stock unit, some with after made modifications. But I bet there is also NHL goalies who use basically a stock unit or a stock unit with "pro pack" and are doing just fine.

    Warrior G5

When blocker is angled that way, do you need to turn your hand more if you want that puck goes to corner? I mean if the face of the blocker is like this \l lot of rebounds will fly straight back to place where the shot came.
  14. That thigh rise is very well protective. Safety first. Nice
  15. Rebound control and 38" was max pad size at least in Europe, this way they could make a longer pad. If I remember right NHL (and IIHF)? made a rule that there must be a boot break.

    R GT/2

There´s been lately some discussion about durability and protection of Warrior products. I have used GT2 custom pro pads & gloves since august, so maybe little too early to say last word about durability. I also wear older GT Pro C/A. Last two seasons I used GT pro and this summer I used stock GT2 Pros. So transition was very easy, basically all the gear was game ready. Maybe the short stint with stock set get me used to little stiffer pad. I`ve used these about 3-4 times a week. The team I regularly play for, if we don´t have a game, we have a practise. I´ve also been often practise with pro players (including present and ex NHLers and euro pro). I am 100% amateur goalie but i face all kind of shots. Pads: No durability or other problems. The thigh is stiffer than it was in GT´s and now the puck really stop there. I really like the new softer leg channel. There´s a wear spot in top corner of both pads. The first spot came in the first ice session but I find it kinda normal. Time will tell how the stitching in knee blocks holds. At this point these are 10/10. Blocker: When I used GT, I had to replace the internals. There was a big dent in the middle of the foam after one season and I felt shots too much. I ordered the new one with extra protection. First it perform like I wanted but recently I noticed that face of the blocker is crumple, I opened it and "extra layer" of plastic is already badly twisted , there´s also some damage in foam. 8/10 Catcher: I ordered 90 degree break. I find it better than the stock one. It is almost game ready and the protection is great. Ok, if some pro guy snipe a good shot and puck hit to the palm I can feel it, but no painful stingers. Only negative thing is the grey inside material, I find it little crusty. Maybe I would prefer some more traditional material. 9.5/10 After all very satisfied with this set. These perform and protect very well. Quality wise you won´t regret if you buy Warrior. I can´t see any major durability issues if you remember that these are also super light and any super light thing won´t last forever.
  17. Is Premier line really so popular anymore (outside Quebec )? Lot of CCM goalies use Eflex nowadays and you can find Premier pads "on sale" section. What happened to Bauer Reactors and NXGs? After three years those are really outdated models. What happened to JRZ? What will happen to Lefebvre?

I think chocolate brown tells a lot. It is quite dark, nice color but maybe not the best if you are looking real retro color. https://www.instagram.com/p/BnTX4IGDZHH/
  19. I find that inside top corner wear spots come very quickly in Warrior case, this can happen even in shops if someone tried pads on. But in long run it wont be as bad.

Warrior nailed these, I really like how they play. I used GT´s two seasons and sold those. While I wait a custom set I use a stock GT2 pro set. I tried those once and I was confident enough to use them in a tournament.
  21. After watching that video it is little harsh to say that your pad is broke down. I would say it´s normal for super light weight but still flexible pad. But maybe no break pad is better for you.

    Gloves need some red accents.
