  1. I've seen Warrior player "TEAM" stick and it's a lower lever stick. It might be a model for semi-pro teams, there are options which you won't get in stock models and you have to order big bunch of those. But $99 with Howies tape sounds great deal if you don't need a pro model.
  2. I'm one of those who would say that all CCM Levebvre gloves (especially semi-pro Eflexs, SR, INT & JR) were terrible. But all made in Canada True gloves have been like butter, difference is like a day and night. I couldn't believe that I would play with Levebvre glove, now it's one very good option. I've seen couple of those Asian made True gloves and those are good but not same as Canadian made ones and the price point is similar with other pro gloves.
  3. To be honest if it's a quarantee issue it would only happen to one pad and for first user. Now it's both pads = user fault? I didn't find the picture of your pads but I remember some photo I saw and the boot wear isn't normal. It looked more like playing at asphalt or something.
  4. In euro leagues you wont get a new set whenever you want. It depends on team and level you're playing but I think most common is two pair of pads and 2-4 sets of gloves, sometimes more and sometimes just one pair pads and two glove sets. And I bet that there is in Europe fewer games but more ice practices than in NHL during the season.
  5. If you want to create a very good car for daily use, would you ask wishes from a F1 driver or a taxi driver?
  6. I don't know who is Tom Hodges but quick Google search and he hasn't play too much during last seasons. Sounds more like a joke than class act, great for the goalie tho. NHL is still a pro league. Never heard that you can wear three goalies in the one game. Edit. I red that both goalies of Ducks injured and he is emergency backup goalie of Stars. So I have changed my opinion, great story.
  7. If I remember correctly only G6 (catcher and blocker) comes with velcro liners. I don know how if you can order custom 6.1 with velcro liners.
  8. This and what kind of steel those goalies use? I find that some other steels than Bauer don't fit correctly. If pop out happens "several times" or "often" the problem is somewhere else than in bad design. I quess the trigger is broken or something else.

    Pad breaks

I had TPS Xlites and pads were used when I got those. I woud say Xlites were stiff, thin and straight model almost 20 years ago, but mine were beat up and twisted. Brian `s Thief stock pads were break only above knee model. At least outer break. I think it looks weard. https://www.hockeyworld.com/Brian-s-Thief-Leg-Pads-07-08-Senior
  10. You can't compare those pads to modern pads. The design is almost 20 years old and it wasn't the greatest success. I bet someone liked them but most didn't. Over rotation was big problem if you wear them loose.
  11. Quality control issue because they allow that kind of gloves leave the factory and sell those. One local shop sent all the lower level CCM gloves to repair guy. When Lefevre is with True, CCM should design a brand new glove model.
  12. Printed graphics, that isn't a pro glove. Poor quality control and design flaw. It's a shame that CCM sell that kind of crap . That's not the only glove which is like that.
  13. Yes. I am really impressed by G6's. Warrior finally changed many small details and pads will look like "new model". They will offer two adult glove lines and some major changes also with Yth/Jr/Int lines. So I think next season will be goof for Warrior goalie.
  14. I don't play NHL game. There is fine details and I guess the game is better and better but those pads are awful and where are all female spectators?
  15. Maybe you're right or/and I was too hars. They have made changes, no doubt. But nothing radical and the worst thing is that gear looks very similar with older models. It's just my opinion and I wear Warrior gear. But maybe you can say same thing if you describe Vapors (1x, 2x, 3x) or Reebok Premiers.
  16. I don't know about the logos but Finnish U20 WJC starting goalie and Women's 2nd goelies wore Warrior gear. But it is kind of sad if they only have one line and next big release after one year and Euro goelies are already using those gear. You can Google Jeremy Smith in Kunlun Red Star KHL and see that G6 gear are very similar, maybe knee landing is flat and vertical rolls are even thinner, but there were times when Warrior was unique.
  17. Or Reactor 6000? Does Grubauer use Sher-Wood jock or garter belt?

    R GT/2

This is true, almost all the "hybrid soft pads" are stiff/thin and "stiff butterfly" pads are extra stiff. Then there might be some old stock Reactors or Eflexes which are heavy and thick, but still quite stiff. I wouldn't wait the time when Warrior's thigh rise is "mushy". I sold some old stock Reactor 9000 pads to a ringette goalie, her old pads were 10 years old. After the first skate she call me back and said she wanna return pads because they are so stiff. Now after two years she is happy with Reactors. I had GT's two season, then I used brand new GT2's about one month while I waited GT2 customs. While the transition was quite easy and pads were similars but still few first skates they felt "odd and stiff".

    R GT/2

Toe elastic straps should be in the knee pad/laundry bag.
  20. You can still order custom GT2 gear.
  21. If he liked Vapor pad, GSX is very similar. If I remember right Bauer wont release new jr/sr- line until 22-23. Better for hockey shops, more boring for kids.
  22. Second. It looks like there is no black color in the first jersey and d-man wears all red jersey. In the second picture seems like everyone wears same kind of jerseys.
  23. That's Vault graphics. It was 15 years ago and maybe Petersen used those when he was a kid. Real retro = when I was a young.
  24. Different area, different markets. It sound like 400$ for used G4 pads is fair offer. I remember 15 years ago new pair of Pro pads costed 1400€ and after use of one season asking price was 900-1100€, you got close to that. There was 12" -> 11" rule wich made used 11" pads more desirable. Now pair of Pro pads cost 1800€ and if you don't sell those in first season (workin at hockey shop) you' re in trouble. Big brands release newer and fancier models maybe too often. For example it's hard to sell brand new pair of 2S pros even with 500€ price tag, so what is correct asking price for used pair?
  25. Skate ovens warm up very quickly and the maximum temperature is only circa 100C/210F. When I bake pro level skates, it takes 5min with a cold skate oven and if the oven is warm 30-60 seconds less. You have too much heat if you bake skates home with preheated oven and you have to turn it off. Skates wont melt if you have right temperature and time.
