  1. Quick was primarily the one to bring RVH to the forefront...i feel like nost guys in the late 2000's/early 2010's were all going VH.
  2. I dont recall richter having much of a set style. He wasnt a huge butterfly guy, more stand up for the time but had great agility and flexibilty and would just scramble. Contrasting his style with roy or potvin was like a culture shock.
  3. Completely naive question but is sliding a thing in roller? I played a lot of roller hockey and the best technique we had was basically a drop-knee t-push. Granted i havent played since 2007 so sliding was fairly new even on ice.
  4. No i havent seen them in forever. Last stick i used back in the day was hespelers...those things had great balance and could fire a wrist shot. The new composite one feel like straws with tape on them
  5. I used to have those vic sticks and my buddy took a sharpie to my old crap coopers to mark them up like his McMartins...man that was a disaster
  6. Rogie vachon had to be it for the kings until quick came in and put the team on his back in 2012.
  7. I dont have swelling per se but my knees were really sore the last couple weeks, but ive only done about 3 stick time sessions so far. I thought i was straining my knee (basically only my left one that hurt) but there wasnt any pain after the last session. Im thinking its unused muscles getting into shape.

Good to see! Im currently using V9s in 36+2 and the knee block is about 2" too short. I did the SLR4 customizer before I went in to purehockey so i put 38" as the size. I sent the order through to their rep and he was like "dude 38" are you sure?" Ended up landing on 37+1 cause the SLR4 (and V10 apparently) sit higher due to the flat boot. I think thats the right call but yeah each day feels like an eternity waiting for them to get here.

Looks sick...what size are your pads? Did you size down at all from your current?

From what im gathering the US factory seems to have a 6-8 week quote and the canadian one is 10-14+. Bsuge are you in the great white north? I ordered mine through pure hockey and i thought it was weird that goalie monkey is quoting 10-14 weeks also. Not sure what other US retailers are quoting.
  11. Always wondered why skates never went this direction once i got rollerblades with straps. Added weight maybe?
  12. Check the size guide but for vaughn youd be like a 35/36 in velocity or SLR.
  13. Good to see the comparison. I have v9s in 36+2 and took them to pure hockey to get fitted. My V9s are about two inches too short and i ended up ordering a set of SLR4s in 37+1. Almost went Brians but Ive always been a Vaughn fan. If i order anything after this Brians might tempt me.

I put my order in for a custom set of pads last week, curious to see if the 6-8 week lead time holds. Pure Hockey is quoting 6-8 weeks and that was confirmed by their goalie rep, but goalie monkey's website is quoting 10-14 weeks lead for vaughn.
