  1. So in addition to re-lacing the pockey i also adjusted the actual binding lacing at the top of the break where the pocket was anchored. Made a world of difference! Before Closure After Mod Closure
  2. I took my first spin at relacing today at work during lunch break whislt eating a bowl of Pho! I used this video as a guide and so far so good! I used 120" black waxed laces and got half the glove done in less than 30 min. Before After
  3. I just got my new reactor set and transferred my pro laces over using the screws.... I found that the screws where inhibiting the pads from rotating back to the front smoothly as they were getting caught up on the cowling toe ridges. I used your lace method and they are smooth as butter now. I highly recommend attaching the prolaces via lace or string.

Update: Played again last night (so my new blocker wasn't totally dried out) and unvelcroed the wrist piece completely and the blocker felt much better, even made a OT shoot out stop with it lol. I do wish the velco section on the thumb side extended all the way to the binding closer to the middle of the wrist so i could attach the wrist cuff.

I'm 6'1" pushing 300 lbs lol. It was actually noticibly uncomfortable to wear. It may just need some stretching through wear, if not ill take it to the local shop to see what they can do to loosen up the wrist area. the palm and fingers fit fine and its definitley a senior glove.

I ended up selling the Bauer TotalOne glove set i despised (blocker wasnt bad), and grabbed a CCM Retro Flex Pro blocker to go with the Dave Wilcox glove I have headed my way. I played with the blocker last night and man the wrist seemed tight as. Anyone else with big hands have issues with CCM blockers fit? Pics for attention (ccm logo will be gone tonight!)
  7. ha that wont be a problem in the shinny sessions i play in... my actual team is pretty good at not head hunting in warm ups lol.
  8. Next one I order will have the optional beard flap extensions!!! I love this thing, fits like a glove.
  9. I'm pretty sure my whole lower jaw would be exposed in these classic 'dillas ! Vanbiesbrouck reppin'!
  10. Like a glove!!! It weighs about half as much as my VV, i love the adjustable chin cup as well. Super comfy, site lines are wicked. Definitely the right model for my fat head! I ran home and intercepted the delivery at lunch so ill check it out a bit more when i get home after work and report back
  11. Check out this one up for grabs on GGSU! And coveted is willing to re-foam it to custom fit the buyers noggin' for some $$ as well....
  12. I like the 905 as well but I have a fat head so I was steered to the 3:13 model. Here was the breakdown provided for the Pro models. In the end it ran me $947 canadian all in. $799cad for the mask + $75 for the painted white cage window 5% sales tax and then a flat rate of $30 cad shipping shell colour (any single colour you want) harness colour (white or black) cage style (catseye or csa style) cage colour (stainless, white, black or powder coated your choice of colour +50cad) backplate (stock - painted to match your shell colour or carbon fiber finish +50cad) vent holes (stock - round or triangular +75CAD) foam (stock neoprene blend - black or dual density foam eva overlay - your choice of colour +50cad) Chin (cup or sling +25) Some more info that Matt has posted on GGSU recently: At Coveted Mask we have 7 models of mask with 3 build levels. All 7 models of mask are designed to fit different shapes of faces to create an optimal fit. For example a customer with a long slim face will fit better into one model and a customer with a round flat face will fit better into another mask. If you have ever shopped for sunglasses same idea! Once we have narrowed down the model of mask we will then complete a custom foam fitting of your mask to your specific shape of face to create the best fitting mask! The build levels on the masks all use various weights and types of premium fiberglasses and Kevlar as their base materials and are all bonded together with a premium epoxy resin. There is no mat fiberglass in our masks which is a filler in some of the other mask companies shells. All of our masks are 100% designed, prepped, painted, assembled, and sold in house. We don't out source any aspect of the job where some other companies do. Our warranties are some of the best in the business. The intermediate pro and our certified lines come with a 3 year warranty, our pro comes with 5 years and the ultimate pro with a lifetime warranty. And I'll give you a break down of our build levels as well. INTERMEDIATE PRO: All Models, LAYUP: Kevlar reinforced, various types and weights of fiberglass, painted interior. Starting at $649 CDN/$539 USD. 3 year warranty. A padded mask bag is included with your order. PRO: All models except the CSA/HECC masks. LAYUP: Kevlar reinforced, various types and weights of fiberglass and a full layer of carbon fiber. $799 CDN/$699 USD. 5 year warranty. A premium padded mask bag is included with your order. ULTIMATE PRO: All models except the CSA/HECC masks. LAYUP: Kevlar reinforced, various types and weights of fiberglass and a full layer of carbon fiber, additional layers of various types and weights of fiberglass, an additional full layer of kevlar and a full layer of carbon fiber. $999 CDN/$859 USD. Lifetime warranty. A premium padded mask bag is included with your order. Primary differences you are going to see between mask manufacturers will be the types of materials used to create your mask. Most will claim that they have the ultimate formula that is the most protective and highest grade. I encourage you to actually ask to see samples of the materials used! I will literally send pictures of what goes into your mask! Yes some of these companies put out an extremely flashy/colourful product but do you really know what goes into it? We at Coveted are the goalie mask specialists, everything we do is crafted by hand, by us, in our Mississauga Ontario production facility. We have been designing and building masks for the better part a couple decades. At Coveted we have a saying when it comes to our product - Zero Compromises.
  13. Thanks gents, I'm pretty stoked to get it in my hands... i think i may be blocked from the Canada Post website soon with the amount of times i'm checking on the delivery status!
  14. Still waiting for my lid to show up via sled dog up here in Canada... shipped out on friday.... Here are all the pics Matt sent me througout the whole design and build process! Pre Clear Coat After Clear Coat
  15. Finally got the arms shortened on my V6 2200 and got the shop to throw a loop on the back so i can attach the back of my chesty the back of my pants (have an old suspender attachment that I clip to. I was running a string and carabeaners through the side elastics but the perma-loop should work much better! I run my pants lace in the front through the loop on the front of the chesty. No suspenders needed!
  16. I've suggested prolaces to a few people interested in toe lace replacements and the monster Hal supporters come outta the woodworks and you can't reason with them. It's kinda strange.
  17. Don't say this on ggsu or they will send a hunting party after you!!!
  18. Here's a pic of the bent cage courtesy of a slapped last night. I must have had my head tipped down as it looks like I'm giving the rocks eyebrow now....
  19. It's the 3:13 Pro model with single bar cage, stock neoprene blend foam, chin cup, regular back plate, no external logos. White window added. Matthew Gibbons was great to deal with. He and Ron sent pictures throughout the process. Start to finish (shipping) date was 30 days.
