  1. Taking away points for matching way too much Thatwentin. Men's league is about looking like you're not trying but actually trying a lot. Behold:
  2. Standing outside the rink last after my game. Big dude walks in rolling his Grit tower bag behind him. I told him that Mite tryouts were earlier that day. He wasn't to happy with my comment.

I feel your pain. When I first wore Supremes after years in old CCMs. Same thing.
  4. Can't wait. No... I could. I interrupted my son making a 'what's in my bag' video on the lawn last summer. Had no idea what he was making. Tells me - I reply "why?" - I walk away knowing that I'm officially old.
  5. If I were you I'd just dress in the basement, walk up the stairs, drive to game, play, drive home, walk back down stairs and undress. Ever try driving in your skates? Pretty difficult.
  6. It's only 364 days until next year's tryouts... get ready.

If you need pads - why not grab the S150s? They'll be light as heck. Play with them, write a review here. Post pictures after you use them a little. It will be appreciated. I need a second pair for roller. I don't need the burliest pads. Was actually looking at these or the S170 or X700
  10. The CCM version of those sticks were great too.
  11. AG37 - Sweet gear. Great action shots. Always nice to have a picture making a cool save. Christ how tall are you? Those (great looking) pads look like 36+8s
  12. Brian Heaton is already someone I pray to. But this too? No wonder why the big guy took him too early. He needed some new gear up there.

Would have been nice if you got them and donated them to me. I'll pay for shipping.

Those pads with the spurs logos in the sitings thread are pretty neat. They look like a bag my wife uses.

Do those Supremes have a color fade design? Nice. Reminds me
  17. The weight of the bag frame plus the size kills shipping. Part of the reason why no wheeled bags in my house. The bag weighs as much as the gear. The bag frame makes it difficult to pack in the Jeep. Big fan of the Warrior bags. Vented and vinyl to keep the bag from smelling: You can find these for under $80. Hold up really well. My kids use smaller versions of these bags too we get through their hockey club (team logo screened on side).
  18. So far - really good. I have scuffs from pucks on the vinyl but no tear. I've had it on for a few months now and see both ice and roller pucks every few days. The one flaw is that at the edge of the mask at one location is curling back a little. It's from me putting the mask in the mask bag and not from use. I spent like $15 in vinyl wrap and a few bucks more for a big decal of a rampart lion (my mask is Scotland flag themed).
  19. I used vinyl wrap on my mask. It's hard with the contours and not wanting to cut the vinyl by pressing your knife onto the surface of the mask.

There's a kid in the original Mighty Ducks movie rocking some Boddams. I think he's the goalie on the Cardinals.
  21. The Montreal / Warrior sticks always are about an inch off. The 27" models are usually closer to a 26" in Sher Wood or Bauer. Been that way forever.
  22. The Sher Wood P41 (was the Thibalt model - thus No. 41) is similar to the P31 Bauer. P31 was used by Bauer as it was the Curtis Joseph model curve who was a big Bauer goalie at the time. The P30 and P41 are rounder in the heel. Some would say this is a big curve stick. Sher-Wood P30 (Brodeur Model) varies. The all wood version 530s were more curved. The foam core versions were closer to what Marty used which was really flat and had a very sharp heel. They still sell this as just a P30. Flat curve stick. Sher-Wood now sells the 9950 "Hall of Fame" model that is a recreation of the legendary 9950 in the past. P41 still - called the Anderson model - with a toe curve. It's again a Canadian made stick just like the former 9950s before they bastardized them with the Chinese versions that were junk. They also now use a P33 - which is a middle of the bunch curve. Think it actually has a twist.
