I see what you're saying with the holes - although, I think I could still mount it with the existing locations as the bar adjacent to those holes are the same. Maybe? IDK... Thanks for the referral. I'll reach out. I'm thinking the further the bar ends are away from the impact, the less likely they'll pop off. Longer cage = more distance from face.

Where can I find replacement Mage cages? I have the Mage RS with the 'short' cage in white cateye that I need a new one for. Weld finally broke after numerous shots to the cage. The long mage cage fits on the RS, right? Thinking may switch it up for fun. - Like Mike24

One benefit to using a royal blue bag (it was on clearance), is that it's easier to see and avoid while walking through the lockeroom in skates.

The V1s have jenpro inside leg. Well, at least mine do. Mine are all white, so they don't look as old as they are. The nylon on the outside leg is pretty dirty now, plus RichMan colored them red and blue for his Habs. I should document them here. They're a 38. No plus. 38" stitched on the side. They play fine. I only picked up a new pair to maybe slide better. I need new roller pads, so the V1s may stay for ice but the S170s for roller. -
Just received a set of Bauer S170 pads in XL. I still wear Vaughn Velocity 1s. No, not a 1S. Velocity 1 as in the first ones that came out in like 1999.

Hangnail. Brutal pain. Survived final period with it. Had to be helped off ice by teammates. There's a plaque at the rink for me from that game.

Years ago - when the NHL was locked out - I was playing for a team of 18 year olds. We were discussing the hopeful return of the NHL. I said 'remember the half season in 95? That was great to watch.'... They all had blank stares on their faces. One kid says "Dude I think I was in preschool when that happened". They all called me 'Dad' after that.
