  1. I had some of that Vivid paint protection film that I used for sliding purposes. Threw that on the corners of my thigh rise and the bindings on the boots and it seems to be doing the job so far. Not seeing any signs of wear yet, knock on wood.

    2. I have suggested that for like 7 years now.  The response I have always gotten is "we want to focus on the future, not the past". With social media, most good sets will be seen. We've already seen an H10, Revoke, Helite 3 (GGN), OG Potvin (Me), 2nd Gen Potvin (Pro Skate Goal), etc. I think a customer could just say "I want an H10 now and it would be easy to do". Unless something is in the works I don't know know about, I would assume no formal program comes.

Looks like Bauer might be doing something like this now!

How does True 33+2 match up to other companies' sizes? I'm an XL in Bauer Ultrasonic.

I'd be interested in the chesty, assuming I can get the funds in the next 2 weeks.

A True 33 should be a little smaller than XL US. I was in a S US and I think a 32 True would be a more appropriate fit.

Per the sizing charts, a 33 True should fit a FTK of 20-20.5". Meanwhile the Bauer size chart indicates a XL pad should be around 21.5 to 22.5".

Damn man, I'm sorry to hear you're banged up.   I hear you on MRI's getting spendy!  Hopefully your recovery is quick and complete.

Good luck with the injury! I missed a full season two years back due to an injury and surgery recovery. Not fun but necessary to do it well for longevity of playing the game. I had no issues last season, so hopefully all goes smoothly for you also.

Thanks guys. It seems like it might be some sort of muscle injury to the scalenes or brachial plexus area. Being in certain positions causes my hands to get weak/tingle. It's not painful, just very odd and disconcerting.

    Hi all,

Been dealing with an injury/condition for the last several months and I'm not sure it's getting any better.

Bought a bunch of stuff hoping to use it, but would rather sell it. MRIs are expensive and my insurance has a high deductible so I'm out of pocket.

    Stuff for sale:

True L20.2 Pro leg pads (SLS Link Here)
    White/Red
    SR 33+2
    Brand new and never used
    BUILT OVERSEAS
Looking for $1,400 USD shipped, CONUS

True L20.2 Pro blocker (SLS Link Here)
    White/Red
Regular hand (worn on right hand)
    Brand new and never used
    BUILT OVERSEAS
    Looking for $275 shipped, CONUS

Bauer Mach chest protector (SLS Link Here)
    SR Large
    Brand new and never used
    Looking for $425 shipped, CONUS

    CCM HPG14A Pants
Brand new, never used. Other CCM tags fell off, but the adjustable +1 inch tag is still there.
NHL pro stock pants - NHL spec in terms of size and protection, signed by Kay Whitmore.
Fit 1 - near impossible to find. Feels like it fits a little bit smaller than my CCM HPG11K Large, which fits a 34-36" waist.
    Looking for $375 shipped, CONUS

Happy to bundle them up and save you a couple bucks if you're interested. Prices above are assuming individual purchases.

Sideline listings are included above if you prefer to deal through that. Otherwise, I accept Paypal Goods and Services. All items are shipped from southern California.

Got some used crap to sell too, that'll be posted another day...

Rockville Ice Arena and The Gardens Ice House have Bauer and CCM. Cabin John only has CCM.

I'm curious about finding a place where I can try gloves with other breaks in full right.

I've never heard of Bauer University or ENDVR.

If you work in the pro shop that sells equipment, ask your boss about it. Bauer University is the website for employee education for Bauer gear. Completing the modules unlocks employee discounts.

Endvr is a similar thing, but is a mobile app on your phone. CCM and True use it for their employee education and there were some substanial discounts for True a couple months back.

The rink I work at has CCM full right gloves by Lefebvre, but the closure is garbage. They won't be worth the employee discount ;(.

Does your rink sell Bauer? Are you on Bauer University?

Does your rink sell True or CCM? Are you on ENDVR?

  8. CCM EF5 Pro (600 Break) - $384.99 - Not sure if any discount codes are valid now -  https://goalie.purehockey.com/product/ccm-extreme-flex-5-pro-goalie-glove-senior/itm/44597-41/

    Vaughn V9 Pro (not true pro-level catcher) - $279.99 before 15% code "PRESEASON" - https://www.goaliesplus.com/p/vaughn-velocity-v9-pro-senior-goalie-catch-glove-special-edition/?attribute_select-glove-side-color=Full+Right+-+White%2FRed%2FBlue

Some pro stock FR catchers here - don't seem like they are in bad shape - https://www.dkhockey.com/goalie-gloves-and-blockers/

Couple of Cal Petersen Vaughn FR glove/blocker sets that seem like new - https://stphockeysales.com/pro-stock-goalie/gloves-and-blockers/

You're right that social media means a lot of sets will be seen, but I think it's one thing to see a set on social media and think, "Oh wow, that looks great!" and another to spend an hour or two on a customizer and dialing in the colors of your own set - especially if they can have retro ones that are pre-made and ready for a customer to throw some color on there. I think it lessens a barrier to entry and creates the seed of an idea in a potential customer's head, "This will be mine!" I think it's a little short-sighted of CCM - it can't be that expensive to put together a customizer for one or two set graphics is it?
