  1. I like the shape of the mask. What brand/model is it? The wrap is simple and clean, looks great. Got me thinking Winnipeg Jets Here are mine. My Reidic is a wrap done by JF Aumais, a Sevigny tribute. My Bauer 940 is a quick vynil/decal I did myself. It would look cool as a paint job with a few more personal touches. If I had the coin, I'd send it to JBairbrush out West (Alberta?) To get it done. His work on Markstrom's masks is God like!
  2. Sounds like a tentative launch. I'm guessing they'll sell out in a week and we'll have to wait for round 2 within the summer
  3. Here are a few pre-game warm-ups videos from the show I found on Youtube that stick out for me. Some I would love to intergrate in my warm-ups if I had more time and If the guys had a hint of what a goalie needs to be ready for the game. Enjoy and add other ones I might of missed out there. Bob Helly Demko Vasy Holtby Holtby's clip looks more like what most of us get time wise, plus a couple bad placed shots to the body and bucket
  4. Although I'm old enough to know about the WHA, Gordie How's second home, I'm not gonna go there as I might make an even bigger blunder with names in that one
  5. How tall is Bob? 6'1, 6'2? Playing with a stick of like 24" less has to feel so different. I'm not Bob of course but at 6'2, 25" is my max lowest I can go without crippling my 5 hole on corner deflections. That might explain the low low wide stances so many use.
  6. Been rocking McKenney 870 for what seems decades now. They are VERY big despite just being XL. They certainly have a barrel shape. I'd like to upgrade to a more conforming fit, like the new McKenney XPG2 or a CCM 12A or a Vaughn, more padding at the front...in Habs colourway of course Still unsure if I'll stick to XL and continue with the tuck or go medium and untuck. Depends on the c/a I'll using as well I guess.
  7. When I had mine, I did notice a little struggle getting a jersey on but it was mostly because of how the arms don't bend like the off the shelf stuff, all that thick plastic. After all, these are supposed to be NHL spec, which means smaller than what we buy in stores.
  8. I didn't expect this to be a proper noun grammar class
  9. I need a get-rich-quick scheme
  10. All good arguments but I was focusing on other aspects aside from numbers. There are many goalies that have come and gone in the show that weren't gods but certainly left a mark on our minds and in our hearts Hasheck...please, entertain me. Craig Anderson, very high merits indeed. TT...certainly a stand out but is he the face for Boston in net? Yes, many great ones but I was focusing on who's face most represents the team when mentioned, ie Montreal = Roy, etc Swag...10 points
  11. I'm bored, so here goes... Which is the most iconic goalie per team in their history, and I don't necessarily mean stats or numbers, just that one guy that resonates his team. *Don't get all bent out of shape if you disagree or I happen to not mention one or just ran a blank. It's supposed to be fun! It's just hockey...and life...and all that the universe has to offer My pics: Montreal - Patrick Roy...Dryden close 2nd Toronto - Mike Palmateer...Cujo close 2nd Detroit - Chris Osgood Boston - Reggie Lemelin Chicago - Phil Esposito...Belfour close 2nd Edmonton - Grant Fuhr Pittsburgh - Marc-Andre Fleury N.Y. 12. Had to share this gem! Don't let it slip away guys. https://www.facebook.com/share/1f2nyTufFEW7gy1s/?mibextid=kL3p88
  13. My Bauer 940 straps already fraying after just a couple months
  14. Just thought of looking on my phone...duh
  15. Yeah, yours runs high compared to mine. I tried to find my pic on here but wasn't successful.
  16. Coming back for a question... @Mroy31 and @coopaloop1234 when you wear/wore it, did you find the lower grey flaps useless in the design? I've seen a couple used ones out there (1S/2S) where the flaps were removed. I'm guessing it was to make more room when in your crouch. Seeing how it fits long on me, I was wondering if that would help with the fit or not. I do have the wing straps pulled as tight as they go to keep it up. No interference in the throat or mask.
  17. Do you find that you have to pull down or readjust your mask during a game now and then? I'm used to a static chin cup vs a yo-yo one. Gets annoying now and then.
  18. Bringing this back for a quick question... For anyone who's bought a 960 manufactured in 2023, does it have an elastic chin cup strap like the 940 or a regular nylon strap?
  19. If in Canada, Nash Sports
  20. I come from the school of toe straps and buckles. When I was trying to learn the butterfly technique and recoveries and slides etc, that was hell'a stressful on the ankle and knees, especially if you're no double jointed gumby. When moved to toe ties with laces, it was better but still no cotton candy and gum drops. Now with bugees/elastics, it's soooo muuuuch better and even though I still don't have any more butterfly flare as Bigfoot interviews, it allows me to continue playing with the modern style all the fresh kids are doing
  21. @keeperton I've asked the OP if he could post a pic of his set-up to better understand how he could possibly sustain such injuries with bungies. Still waiting. My original Pro-Laces are kinda tight but still allowed me to rotate my ankle properly. My Trav like Pro-Laces have even more give. My photos above give me an in between feeling. There's a mystery at hand.
  22. @coopaloop1234 so the G7 runs taller but you're still a 33"? So does this mean that the flat boot is no different than the risers on the GT2? The difference is in the shin? The knee landing spot remains the same?
  23. Skate laces alone were not helping and I don't think have 3+ inches of slack will do good on my knee landing, which means I'd hove to go back to boot straps to keep the pad up? I'd be going backwards. Pro-Laces have been great. I recently started using my own franken'setup to get a better drive with the lower portion of the pad. Still toying with the setup but feeling ok so far...
  24. Most of everything is done overseas now. They give them the "Building a glove 101" course and off they go. I'm sure there are random verification but is there an actual QC department? Who knows. After all, once they start building things, it's all about numbers thereafter.
