It has to be a stubborn comfort thing... With all the advancements in materials and strapping, some guys are still needing 6 leather straps... You think with all the ice they get they could demo and use the newer stuff to get comfortable with it... Same applies to Anderson's Optiks and most guys wearing CCM -

5'9" with a 16.5" ATK... I'm a 33 in most pads. I think the 1S sit high and play very straight. Similar to how a Premier pad and an EFlex pad will sit different on the leg. The seller had a 17.5" and landed dead center

@TheGoalNet very interesting about the weight... I’ve always wanted to try a set of Koho/RBK/Premier pads. In the past the weight along with the open leg channel turned me off. With their new strapping systems and weight reduction I’d love to demo a set. The whole boot angle thing as well might be an issue. I know I’d likely wear a 32 in these tho

No. I couldn't make the sizing work. If they were going to be a long term set I would have snapped them up. @TGC-Rance mentioned about moving the knee block if it was a keeper set

That's the major upside to this... It would be a straight trade. So I'm not out anything. Durability would be a concern but JRZ made I'm guessing they'll stand up better than retail models.

Looking for some quick 1S feed back... I have a chance to swap my RGT pro set (all white) for a JRZ made 1S set. 2 things worry me... Stiffness and sizing. I wear a 33+1.5 and the 1S set is medium (34+1). The set is a WHL pro return and are supposed to have a "softer core." Any pros or cons of the 1S gear would be appreciated

@TheGoalNet Any indication on the weight? I know traditionally the Premier line had been super heavy by most standards, but hope springs with the news that the EFlex 3 line has had significant weight reductions as well

@coopaloop1234 I tie the top 2 eyelets for my pants into the nylon loop (on the belly of the C/A) on my CCM pants. Then I run the external belt above the bottom elastic for the heart guard. If that doesn’t make sense let me know

I'm sure @Kirk3190is the best fit to answer this officially... But velcro will always eventually wear out. I have it on my vest for work and the fuzzy (loop) side always wears quicker. But I'm using it 5-6 times a day, for a 12 hour shift. Strapping for the pads is only happing 1-2 times, a few times a week max. And I'm sure they're using high grade commercial hook and loop velcro. All of which I'm assuming was wear tested for months before the product is launched. Plus who keeps their gear long enough to wear out the velcro!?!?!?!
