Just heard a few hours ago that Andy Moog has been diagnosed with cancer. Don't know which one it is but very sad to hear. Thoughts are with him and his family in this tough time. Post below from Mike Vaughn.

I was sad to see this.  I started watching hockey in the 90s when Moog was the goalie in Dallas.  He was my first favorite goalie ever.

I've been using the same V1 Pro since July 2021. I have two M2 E's that I've been sitting on as backups for awhile now that I'm itching to use.

Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time just not using the V1 until it literally dies on me. Which is soon, but not soon enough lol.

I want that new composite snap back, but I can live for now.

For sure, that's my experience as well.  I bought 3 V2s 2 years ago and have been cycling them playing 3 times a week pretty regularly.  I don't mind them at all given how noodley they are, I find that Warriors age well, in general.  But going to a brand new one just made me notice the difference.   I play the puck a lot, too, so it really stood out.

  3. Man, I got to use my new stick last night and it made me realize how noodley mine had become.  That's one part of being a pro that has to be so damn nice is being able to never use noodley sticks.  I can't imagine needing new gear otherwise all too often, but sticks?  Absolutely.  It'd be so nice.

My buddy also gave me a Warrior 25 M......series? stick.  Unfortunately, it's in that Warrior mid/Quick curve which I hate.  Oh well.

  4. Thanks buddy.  Yeah, I've been more proactive, for sure.  And a lot more people know about it and have taken it upon themselves to gift me pucks, which has been wonderful.  I was just telling my coworker that, unfortunately, after seeing that massive collection online from a dude who calls himself "The Puck King" and other puck collectors, it's taken on a whole new level of enthusiasm.  Kinda went from a guy who "has a puck collection" to a "puck collector."

I'm gonna start working on getting alternate NHL logos, especially now that I don't need to worry about the "from the source" piece for like 27 of the teams.

Confirmed 5 more inbound this week because I got a few USA Hockey pucks and a couple of team logo Winter Classic pucks.

Supposedly I have 2 Tampa Bay Lightning pucks inbound but no word yet on those.  Once I get one of those only Devils, Panthers, Hurricanes, and Sabres remain to close out the NHL-from-the-source piece of the collection.

    Sneaky Bob

So, obviously the league has restrictions on art content.   I'm sure in their approval process they have a list of content areas that are not allowed, which makes sense and that's fine.

But, there is obviously no mandate that art must be in team colors or even have team content.  There is clearly a type of "can not include_____________" restriction, but I'm pretty certain there are zero types of "must include_____________" mandates.

So, are they including what is formerly allowed as "Theme Nights" on their restriction list?

I wonder if Bobrovsky, Grubauer, etc. are being fined and they are just like "meh, ok."  Across the board NHL fines are a joke for millionaire players.  Grubauer makes like $78k / game so if he's fined like $2,000 he just says "Danke" and moves on.

The whole situation is so strange.

I didn't think the mask was that cool anyways, but, the decision to not allow him to wear it is retarded.

Same thing for not allowing Thompson to wear the "fight cancer" helmet he had too.

I thought Grubauer wore his in a game? The Kraken word mark in purple down his cheek??

I can't find one, though I swear I had one at one point. I've got a lot of stuff to still go through in my closet in my recent clean-out, so maybe it's in there somewhere.

Anyway, here's some other choice hockey memorabilia I dug up while looking for it. The stick is the '93-'94 Portland Winterhawks (featuring Scott Nichol, Brad Isbister, Lonny Bohonos, Adam Deadmarsh, Scott Langkow, and others). The Portland Buckaroos pucks are both made by the "Converse Rubber Company" which I think is just super cool. We used to have more mini-hockey sticks, but we broke quite a few playing with them over the years. I know for a fact I had a Saskatoon Blades stick and there was at least a Portland Winter Hawks stick (I think also Spokane Chiefs).

Man, that's a nice collection.  Thanks for posting it.  Pretty neat to see to old Winterhawks pucks.  I especially like the Oregon Ducks and PWH one beneath it, those are great.

I love seeing these collections.....makes me wonder how many are in the larger collections out there?

Here's my up to date collection after the Winter Classic puck

Coop's looking good with his movements and his style.

Seems to be following my footsteps well. 😎

My Youtube algorithm decided I need to see this coach's content and I'm very grateful for it.  I love this guy. If only I lived near Saskatchewan .

The guys in SDPN brought up a good point, this is kind of a shitty money grab by the Canes. Nothing like taking advantage of Hartford's misfortune and cashing in on an iconic logo that they killed.

For sure.  I find it embarrassing to make them wear those pants nowadays too.
