  1. And so begins my transition to the dark side Picked up a G5 Pro glove earlier today and this is the first glove I’ve ever tried on that feels like my G3 Pro. Unfortunately they had no 90 degree G5 palms in stock so I’m stuck with the 75 degree palm for now (G5 palms and G4 palms are not the same I found out). Can’t wait to try this thing in a few days
  2. Our ice has limited attendance but it’s much more than 5
  3. The restrictions vary depending on the rink. At the rink closest to me goalies have to come full dressed excluding gloves, leg pads, skates, and helmet. At another you can show up as you normally would before the rinks shut down. I would suggest calling the rink to ask what they require
  4. I’ve been told I’m a bit of an anomaly because I’m left handed but used regular gloves. In my personal option I believe this is how it should be because I shoot left handed with a player stick and a goalie stick. I’m not sure why most consider that left handed goalies should be full right it never made sense to me. As important as playing the puck is I’d think you’d want to shoot the same with a goal stick as you would a player stick. Apologies if that made no sense

The G5 line of gloves is without a doubt better than G4. The off the shelf closure is on par with Brian’s in my opinion. The G4 gloves were always so stiff to me compared to my G3 and the G5 reminds me a lot of that G3 as far as feel goes
  6. Eh there’s 3 of us I just like watching everyone here attack you every time you comment and I don’t blame them

    1. Tell us more about the mask please 2. I use elastic toe ties similar to pro laces on my G4 leg pads and they’re much better than lace. In my personal opinion elastic toe ties let the pad move with you better because they hold your skate closer to the pad depending how many knots your skate lace has. They also put less stress on your ankles. Overall elastic toe ties are better than skate lace
  8. Just picked this up yesterday using the Memorial Day sale on goaliemonkey. Also for anyone wondering what the nylon straps and plastic buckles included with the chest protector are for here’s the answer This works for y’all who like your chest protectors untucked too
  9. Oh it’s good fun for awhile but after a bit it’s certainly a struggle. Especially a 2 hour scrimmage with no goalie changes on the last day
  10. I about died over the weekend because I was not prepared for 4 hour nonstop ice times at all
  11. Got a few videos in Louisiana this weekend VH Drill Battle Drill

I don’t know about anywhere else but the north Texas rinks are opening Monday and I’m getting on the ice in Louisiana tomorrow for a camp.
  13. My one piece skates are yet to show wear. I’m beginning to believe they’re more durable than two piece skates
  14. I got to hold the M1 sr+ at monkey sports the other day. It felt balanced. Not quite ax9 balanced but it felt more balanced than the v1 line
  15. Not sure why they chose to stick with speedskin instead of jenpro. I just find it funny that they’re advertising speedskin for durability now
  16. Only kid on my team last year who didn’t have AirPod pros. Welcome to Texas. The sliding out of the box is good but once it’s scuffed it’s even better. I haven’t used any sort of spray or anything. Just good ol G4 pads
  17. 5’10” 130lbs. The weight works well for me since nothing’s slowing me down
  18. Not sure if this counts as an action photo or not but here it is
  19. Is it just me or does this thing look like a padded sweatshirt?
