  1. For retail price I would go for 3S eathier but it would be more expensive for me. I can get Ultrasonic sticks for equivalent of 150USD.
  2. Sure thing. TBH I've never use any of Bauer stick and CCMs Premier and Axis usually fails on the shaft.
  3. Not exactly what I would do for myslef but final result looks great. Now you only need to do matching straps.
  4. Hi guys, I have chance to buy Ultrasonic sticks for less than half their retail price. As I need new sticks this would be a great option but I'm not sure about their durability. I found couple rewives and opinion are mixed. Both US and 2S Pro are known for spliting Ergo Spine in some cases. Can users of Ultrasonic sticks share their perspective?
  5. I would start with simplest drill possible. Get a player in front of the net with bunch of pucks and let him shoot catcher and blocker. Start on your feet and after he clear all puck do the same in butterfly. With every shot track pucks from his blade to your glove and/or boards.
  6. Great project!!! Let us know how this kind of straping works wih Supreme pads.
  7. Just from the pictures it looks good. Throat collar looks pretty fat so protection should be there but it could interfere with mobility slightly (just a guess) but I like how it overlap shoulders and far down on back side. It would prevent rotation during play - I had this issue with Bauer Supreme before I saw it into shirt.
  8. For mic up I guess. About Bauer skates. I was thinking about that a couple times and IMO we won't be seeing skates with lace on top price point in few (or more) years.
  9. That won't be fine in a long run. It looks like you have G2 but G3s had issues with neting from the factory. A lot of these gloves came back for relacing because pucks went through. Incuding mine - I relace it myself because I didin't want to wait. Issue is that with every puck you catch string will move and shift at cross points and start open holes big enough to puck go through - you should be able to make such a hole with your fingers. If you would be able than puck iven more so.
  10. @kippewit You need to use one of solutions above. I get back to C/A untucked as I never get used to suspenders and akward feeling of how unit works being inside of a pants. I removed belly extenders from 2x C/A to limit overlap over the pants and wirdly that helps with chesty being stuck on pants where kidney protection is.
  11. Not exactly action photo, but two shots from pre game warm-up I've played 3 weeks ago. Fortunately for me the rinks shutdown didn't affect everyone, so I have been able to play continuously since August.
  12. I think that would be the first mask outside DaveArt barn that I really like.
  13. Different points of view. I love things like that on his masks. It gives simple design overall but it adds depth upclose and makes it more interesting. For me Dave's masks looks way better than Hutton mask mentioned here which looks like kids drawing. And I want to make a strong statement that it is only my opinion and what's I like or dislike.
  14. Nevertheless I love masks that came from his studio. It's obvious that he can't do anything by himself just based on how much buckets left 'painting barn' each week. And another thing is that all that details his team put on masks now instead of Dave himself is what made him the most recognizable painter in goalie industry. Before he was able to hire all of them. So if I could afford his service or be pro in any league he supports I wouldn't think twice.
  15. You can still find simpler designs from time to time. The 'fancy made up technical terms' as Tubby described may be ridiculous but the amount of details he put on his mask and how sharp those graphics are is just mind blowing.
  16. To be honest I like almost every DaveArt masks but for me the best was the chrome mask he made for Lundqvist and all for Linkopings HC goalies - just love this lion logo
  17. I finally udated piece on my setup that needed it the most. New leg pads just arrived. I know it's nothing special as they're senior model (S29) and not even from current model line but I bought them brand new super cheap. They will replace my good, old gray G2. And as a bonus I get Axis Pro stick. Also super cheap
  18. May be. GT line was never in my scope of interest. To be honest they don't looks any different than previous version of pants or knee pads. Definitely can recomend the pants but not so sure about that knee pads. After owning two pairs of those I can say that they are protective enough but won't last longer than 2 sessons. The foams that you landing on are super soft and very comfortable but I started to feel knees after a while of useing. When you drive down the pads hard it hurts.
  19. Just found a couple photos of what looks like a new Warrior products. Any thoughts?
  20. Don't know what level you play but 2X isn't a tank. You will feel puck on the arms and belly and it could sting even - not very often but still.
  21. I would also wrap the lacing and knot with hockey tape to protect it from to much friction from skates. I did it with my pads couple years ago after seeing first signs of fraying and naver had any problems.
