I think you need to go high-tech. I am not sure how they do it, but when you watch on TV in some rinks ads can be superimposed (for lack of a better word) on certain section of the boards/sidewalls etc. and changed every few minutes (or less - probably dependent on some remunerative scale).

You need to apply that technology to your pads. One minute a kick-save shows "Joe the Bartender", next you go into the splits and up pops the "Viagra" ad (ooooh - entendre alert!)

Actually- in many occasions, it is green screen or similar type of technology. Though the tech that allows ads on the end glass is intriguing, as the glass panels are CERTAINLY not green, but you do not see the ads in the rink.

Being that people would pay to NOT see my games on tele, the high tech stuff would not be a good bet fiscally from an investment perspective. But good onya for thinking ahead of the curve.

I have slight under-rotation on my right pad. Has to be a strapping problem, in which I am working on, as the left pad is square when in the butterfly. I took out one layer of pad in the shin section. I also started to use Monster HALs with the Zenzola spec and go through my Lundy loop and my toes don't rub the inside boot of the skate. The shock cord Sara uses is actually TOO strong and kept the boot on the toe, making it rub worse! In retrospect, I would have designed the one piece landing with a bit more bend, but I don't know how it would have been done. That was on me- Sara did NOTHING wrong here. I also would have done separate knee and shin stacks, going with the max height for the knee stack. The rebounds are INSANE with these pads! Over all, I am satisfied with the pad.

Glad to hear this, they look amazing. The protector on the cord is a great idea as my Brian's have just begun to wear through. Like you I believe this is more a skate issue than pad construction.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some of yours or Sara's ideas begin to show up with the big guys.

The single knee/calf flap was not my idea. I saw it on Winlites, Aeroflex, CCM Blockades, and Factory Mad. Each one executes differently.

But thanks for the compliments.

By all means if the pads were poorly built, it would show in spades. It is a shock cord/skate issue.

I have more ideas brewing for my next set...

Here is the smart design:

These are Jenpro loops to protect the lacing cord. Had that not been there, it could have been problematic with the toe cap design flaw on my VH skates. I have already Shoe Goo'd it.

This is fucking genius right here.  I'm surprised this isn't utilized more often.

Wish I had those loops instead of the wound thread and blue duct tape I have now...

Simple enough design and you only need 6-8 inches of length max on the boot. Hopefully Sara found a way to patent it if that's possible.

She and Dennis Dombrowski are the smartest gear designers I have seen.
