darin444
I have a set of UL5 pads that don't slide on the ice anymore. I try to push off and they just stick to the ice. I have tried putting Scotch Gaurd on them and it helps for about a period. Anyone have any ideas that would help them slide again without buying new pads? Thanks
Quadzilla32
One of the reasons I’m finally stepping away from Simmons. My 999 pads dont slide that well unless the ice is fresh, I’ve had times I’ve pushed off hard to get across and I slid a couple inches and just stuck. If you google Maria goalie training I know she did a review of some Pad wax stuff. I also think goalieparts sells some stuff called ice kream or something along those lines. dreadlocked1
A new layer of padskinz or padwrap on the sliding surface may help.
darin444
Thanks for the info everyone. I bought the ice kream. It had great reviews. Hopefully after the Corona is over I will get a chance to play some hockey

It works well and makes a noticeable difference especially as the ice gets snowy.

bunnyman666
I loved how that stuff feels on ice, but it’s terrible on ice tiles.
