Core Strength and Stiffness

Flex is not flex is not flex between brands. This is probably the biggest thing noticed in testing gear between brands. On a visual medium like Instagram or text on the forum, it’s a difficult concept to show feel.

This new testing method below will apply the same amount of pressure no matter the pad model. It will be used for all future pads to highlight the flex between brands.

for reference, this is an Optik 2 Max core

Any chance you have a small enough band that could showcase the "face flex" of the pad?

I know it was a topic of discussion a few years ago when comparing Warrior G3 vs 1S vs Premier, etc.

I have bent it by hand before, but that is not a scientific

It's a great thought. I wonder if I can get a kid's resistance band or something?

I'd be super interested.

I know there's been some improvements among some of the pad lines since that initial conversation, but I do want to see how "solid" pads are trending overall and I think it's a great way to demonstrate it.
