One less giant in the show for next season. He's 45. Wonder if he'll go join Jagr for part two of his pro career?

On one hand, you say 'why don't he retire already?'.

But if I was a pro, you'd have to pull me away from that life. Not to mention the nice paychecks.

Last active player from the 90s?

I don't even know how many guys are even active from the 2000-2009 period. Can't be many.

Forgot that Joe Thornton is still playing. He's now the last active NHLer left that played in the 90s.

Pretty neat he signed a 1 day contract with Boston and retired a Bruin.

Also, P.K. Subban announced his retirement today as well.
