  1. Thanks guys, but why couldn’t any of you be a damn large in bauer?!! Kidding, I’ll have to try some on just to make sure
  2. Anyone know how these compare size wise to Hyperlites?
  3. Oh ok good to know. I was thinking more along @coopaloop1234 sizing at like 25s or something. Glad I know what fits me now!!
  4. Was watching Levi in the shootout and couldn’t tell, is he using a 580?
  5. Sorry I’m not sure. Is 6’1 senior size?
  6. Funny I’ve noticed the same thing with mine. Even in the cuff I’ll get hit and feel it. What a piece of shit. Still better than any non-stick piece of goalie gear warrior has ever made!
  7. Maybe it’s because I’m being super self conscious but I feel like its super loud. Maybe it isn’t actually.
  8. I’ve had this issue since I got my konekts but is anyone else super squeaky when walking around in full gear or even skating? My pads squeak like crazy and I think its from them rubbing on the plastic of the skate.
  9. The Optik 2 to me has been a great mix of strength and mobility. Very few soft spots if any at all. I’m super skinny too and haven’t had any issues, granted I’m 6’1 160. Might I also suggest mixing in some extra calories as well to add your own beef up option for free! Has certainly helped me!
  10. I switched as a squirt since I’m naturally left handed and was playing baseball lefty. It was easy for me since I only played a single year as a regular. Best of luck if you switch, you may never buy retail gloves again
  11. Thing is according to bauer the new 90 is not the same as the Reimer one you have. They could be lying but I don’t see why they would bother
  12. That's for sure the new one and not the pro only clone?
  13. I talked to my store’s manager. He said $500. He thinks the rep was talking some other sort of upcharge for special colors or something that really isn’t available to the public.
  14. I will 100%. I actually talked to 2 different guys and my phone cut out so I had to call again. Guy 1 said it depends on the design. Guy 2 said $100. I'm wondering if $100 is a base price and maybe $500 is a max? If it does vary I assume a design they have already done would be cheaper since they already have the file.
  15. So a guy from Bauer just told me over the phone that digs-print is only a $100 add-on?? I hope that's true because tbh, when I'm already dropping 3k on a custom set what's $100 more. I also asked about the 90 degree glove. I asked if it was the clone Reimer has been wearing and the guy freaked out as if he couldn't believe people knew the thing existed. He said he couldn't comment on any clone of a competitor's product or any details of what pros wear. I did get him to admit that this new glove is NOT the same as Reimer's and that this glove is intended as a direct rival to the CCM/True 580. Anyway, given this development of rather in-expensive custom designing, I would like some professional opinions on what I should use. I'm using black, white, grey, silver, etc to keep it neutral since I don't know where I'm playing yet this season. I was thinking of maybe re-using one of the following designs just in those colors. You would think as a graphic designer I would make my own but why would I do all that labor when somebody was already paid to make these!!! elvis-merzlikins.webp elvis-merzlikins.webp
  16. I agree with your thoughts on player sticks as well as the baseball glove analogy. If the gear does its intended purpose, well if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. However their is a balance to found with innovating as well. Does attaching the knee stack to the core of the pad make more saves? Probably not. But does it make some incremental improvements for playing the overall position? For sure. I think the gloves may be at a place similar to a baseball glove. At the end of the day it needs to catch/block pucks, which they do. The pads are more like the player sticks where theres a lot of ads for tech on them.
  17. What if someone has never used a lefevre 90? Think it would do the job if they don’t know any better?
  18. One, single curve, available for full rights at custom. The only reason the Quick curve is popular is because it’s his name and its the only option. Disgusting
  19. I agree with @ThatCarGuy the goalie doesn't win the cup unless we're talking about 2012 Quick, who is the most un-american American goalie ever. Of the goalies I listed a bunch of them are future hall members or will be after their careers finish. If you mean to tell me the Avs won last year because of Kuemper? Welll he only played about half the games because he kept getting hurt. You bringing up the World Juniors has to be a joke as again, the NA teams are the most stacked every year, and nobody talks about goaltending when your team is putting up 8+ goals on all the other teams. Either way, the point of my list was to show how a ton of the Euro goalies are anything but cookie cutter. A list of NA goalies would be the opposite. You don't seem to have much to say about what i said before the list. Did I change the great Netminder's mind????
  20. We have the prosharps as well for profiling. I hate it
  21. I wonder if the eflex will have something more like stabiliflex than what is on axis? Also strapping and leg channel doesn't seem overly tight fitting for a "hybrid" pad. I like that it has a nice pre-curved shape though. As for the glove, I think they should've just stuck with the normal 590. Maybe the 581 goes better, and basically anything is better than a 600 IMO but I worry everyone is going to wish it was just a normal 580. Either way I'm excited to see more brands bringing the 90 degree to retail. I've always wanted to try one.
  22. At least most of the neon green is gone this go-round. I obviously can't say for sure from just this picture but I think the holder will still fit on the jigs my store has. (All my company's stores use blackstone) It might have to be wiggled a bit but it may work. If not, all steel will have to be removed like the goalie skates. Annoying? Absolutely, however there is actually less room for error when you do the steel by itself because the weight of the skate can't pull the bottom edge into the wheel more.
  23. Good to know. I'm surprised the difference is so small. Brossoit has had both on his pads and the difference is noticeable. Maybe with other colors around the difference is greater? Or maybe when grey is in the majority the darker black seems more different.
