  1. I'm contemplating selling my 1800. If I do I'll let you know. Its a medium so it should fit you perfectly. I would suggest the segmented shoulder floaters because I love mine, but, if you're going to build a 2000 with the ridges on the floaters then I don't know if they can do segmented shoulder floaters. Other than that I would ask for the top of the back plate to have a dip in it so it doesn't ride up and interfere with the back of your mask. It sometimes happened in my 1800. It wasn't often but when it did it was annoying.
  2. That's a bit misleading. I guess just as misleading as saying there is carbon fiber in their gear lol
  3. News to me as well. I thought all Vaughn Pro gear was mad in either the US shop or the Canada shop and the Senior gear and below were off shore.
  4. My old 1800 John's shop picture of my current 2200. The chest plate was supposed to be royal blue to match my old c/a. Back plate loop for carabiner, which has since been removed and changed to a different means of connecting my c/a to my goal pants. Dip in backplate neckline. Its barely noticeable here, not the most thought out picture, apologies. "Lundqvist" mod. I really wanted this to be a bit more pronounced of an angle but it still works just fine. Left current 1800, right new 2200 Mod list for the 2200 -Lower half of the split chest plate, attached slightly lower then what I see most getting so it sits a little more centered on the chest. -Segmented shoulder floaters -Dip at the top of the backplate. I hate how the top of my 1800 poked out the back of my jersey and can sometimes feel it hit the backplate of my mask. -Lundqvist mod for my suspenders. I like to wear them over the chest but I don't tuck the belly. As it is now, I feed the suspenders through the gap between the chest pad and the side rib pads. He angled the bottom tips of the side wings down and away so it forms a slightly bigger gap for the suspenders. -Loop on the backplate to attach my carabiner.
  5. Wow. Bob has been in Brown for a long time. I am surprised with the switch.
  6. Everyone with a Brown c/a post them up! http://brownhockey.com/
  7. I should say that the price of league play depends on the team. Generally here they don't charge per person they charge per team and the team breaks it up among themselves. I was on a team a few years ago that didn't make me pay but all others have. Its just too expensive to let someone go for free.
  8. I know the feeling. Only thing I miss about playing roller was the price. I used to play on three teams for the price I pay to play on one ice team.
  9. I've played with some pretty lax defense but never like that, thankfully. I would probably just leave if that happened.
  10. No I get what you're saying. Sorry to kinda hijack the conversation away from the point you were making lol.
  11. I'm surprised this hasn't come out by more people who have had their hands on both.
  12. One of the guys saw me walking by with my gear and asked me to suit back up and come out. I said no thanks, not worth it.
  13. The last time I saw an open hockey was a Friday night, they had the ice after my game, there was one goalie on one end taking shots from like 3 guys. The other end was another 2 or 3 guys taking turns taking slap shots on an open net with a go pro on the ice facing the puck as they shot it. They were all complete benders. This is what its like a lot of the time. Then sometimes there are nights where there is a decent turn out.
