All that clears up is his obvious intent to getting a good whif.

I like the Pontiac Aztek reference...
Also to note that you will never see ANY NHL-er wear these as they are illegal in the NHL.
@Doobiesnax If I were to order one, I would spec it to be studded like the codpiece for my Gene Simmons costume! Yes- I used to be the part of Gene Simmons in a KISS tribute act!
I'm sorry for the audience that had to witness that.

That reminds me of a movie where someone wrapped their whole body in saran wrap when they were going to go down on a woman and I cannot remember what it was.
(I know it's a different scene)

If you hate sharp skates then you’re on the wrong hollow.
Eh, I'd argue against this.
My current hollow after a fresh cut is just a tad too tacky, so I'll scrape up the ice by the sideboards to dull them down a tad prior to a game. This usually gets me 3 games of use before I'm looking to sharpen them again.
If I go down a size in my hollow, i'm looking to get them sharpened halfway through the game. It's this weird middle ground that I like that I'm unable to get.

When are you planning on posting your review?
At the one year mark. So still a few months away. I can share any pictures of wear points if you're interested.

Thst boot looks buttery. I'd definitely go the route of measuring an inch higher than reebok.

I've had the SR R/GT since release. I've had one stinger in the glove where as I would have had 3-5 in my LT 90 glove in the same time frame. (and I'm playing against higher opponents)
Aside from long term durability, which I'll cover in my review, the senior line is definitely more than fine for beer league.

So for you guys that tuck, how do you get the C/A to stay inside? I'm mostly referring to the sides.

They're good pads. Played in V4's forever. And yea, this was before vaughn started to put one piece cores into their pads. They'll have settled.

Man, every glove, even with the same break all feel different.
For me, gloves and C/A's are the hardest to buy for as I can be incredibly picky when it comes to them.
So you may be one of the few, but many goalies are incredibly anal about their gloves.

Personally I tuck the chesty into loose pants with a tight inner belt. Tie it down tight and thats it. I wear a McIntyre pro return 1s chesty and Nexus 9000 pants and I love the feel of the tuck. Give it a try maybe? @coopaloop1234
Tried it at home actually and the method I mentioned above was the one I settled on. I've been untucked forever.
I did like the snug feeling tucked gave, just haven't figured out how to make it so the c/a doesn't pop out. I'll keep messing around at home.

So tried something different for my game last night. Ended up tying the front of my C/A to my pants (still untucked, with suspenders under C/A)
Definitely like the change. Nothing drastic, but definitely felt more protected and secure. I'll try this some more and see if I want to connect it in the back and/or tuck and wear suspenders over the unit.

Sorry if this has already been discussed...
This is the only comparison i can find with my google-fu.
Pretty much the same difference you see between any pro skate and the one step down. A slight decrease in features and build quality. It never seems enough to me to spend the extra moolah for a slight upgrade.

From then to only 10 years ago, the difference has been noticeable. I think it's time to simplify size only, not protection.
I don't think using Snow and Giguerre as benchmarks is accurate. they were the worst offenders!

PS: I'm a grown child that giggles every time at the VE8 logo for an obvious reason.
There's probably enough of a difference where it wouldn't hold up in court? Or it could be opening a can of worms.
Proprietary things like logos, names, designs, etc, are far easier to go against where as a structural design that's been around forever and is all pretty similar through and through wouldn't.
I mean, do you want each company to start being able to copyright every single detail where progress can become stagnant? Or is having each company be able to draw ideas from each other to try and one up each other better?

They're probably both very similar.

I enjoy it. C/A's are generally not easily noticed and having a separate thread seems fine by my books.

I wore the NME VTX today. I took a legit 1T from a USPHL kid to the side of the head. It felt like the mask absorbed the shot in a way I have never felt before. I was beyond impressed and it was like the helmet swallowed the blow.
I think there is something to the engineered padding for goalie masks. Unfortunately, I don't know if I will stick with this mask long term because the fit is not perfect, but I think there is something to the engineered foam.
You sure the helmet absorbed the blow?
