Fuck this noise. Do you want people to take out a newspaper article praising the guy if they do their own custom mask in this fashion? That's just silly. It's not like the painter is claiming this to be his pattern and everyone can clearly see what iconic mask he's imitating. Should every cover band pay royalties to the original artist when they play in some dive bar? What about when I'm at home painting some Bob Ross? Should I have to pay the man royalties for my own work that's inspired by his? Without Greg Harrison, someone else would have made another version of an iconic cat paint job. Just because it's iconic doesn't make it amazing nor does it make it incredibly original. Jesus.

Pretty sure since G2, all warrior gloves have been bindingless. I wonder if they ditched the tent system in the G2/G3 gloves and went with the more flexible T system they have in the GT line.

I think Warrior is starting to get into the slight alterations portion of their gear manufacturing. I could see a slight tweak or two per set now. I'm just thinking off the top of my head, I wonder if they're going to make the calf wedge on the G4 more flexible like it is on the GT? Keeping the same shape and density, but allowing allowing it to flex outward, or would that start to get into illegal mod territory?

Damn, was in the middle of cropping the pic too. Only thing that really pops out is the knee landing area and the front side of the calf area. Maybe their response to match up with the Bauer/Brians sliding tech?

Pink mask with purple racing stripes. You need to mix it up with some colour. I'd go white myself as I like white based masks over black.

Yikes, is it a small league? You don't usually see such a stark separation in skill sets in divs, especially as you go higher up.

You may be on to something. Doesn't detract from my qualms with it's aesthetics.

@cwarnar Glad to see you like them. They have quite a bit to tinker with despite the seemingly lack of straps. You may want to try doing the knee strap across the knee instead of down to the calf. That may help, as well, a tighter boot strap on these will help too. I went the opposite route. Knee strap down to calf (just enough so all the velcro touches and that's it), calf wrap to second stitch line, boot strap as loose at it will go and I removed the calf wrap from the calf landing area. Made the pad feel more free on my leg. I found the same issue for the blocker as well, just loosen up the velcro tab for the index finger a bit and you'll notice a large difference. Padding still sits on the paddle and protects your finger, but allows it to move when you need it to and feels less constricting. Knee block won't soften up really. It's going to be like that for at least a while (i've been in my pads for 6 months now)

I really don't like how the face material for the new Bauer gloves looks/feels like it's peeling off. The 1S wasn't so bad, but the first time I saw a 1X in person I had to ask the Bauer rep if they were showcasing some defective gloves. Looks like the 2S is following the same suit. Even if it has no real impact on performance or durability, it looks bloody cheap.

Gibson wears his mask like a lot of the CHL guys did a few years ago. The straight bar cage sightlines on those Bauers were awful (cat eye is illegal to sell in Canada and the CHL bans them too). My C2 mask had the same problem. I got far better sight lines through the cage by tipping it up a bit. It never led to any real issues from pucks to the mask except once where a shot hit me hard enough to knock the mask back and the chin cup ended up hitting my upper lip pretty hard. Though, a one time at the hasmarks to the face isn't a fun shot regardless of the mask you're wearing. I've switched to a Cat Eye and have tightened down the straps a lot more now and it's been better. Still need to do some more adjustments, but I'm at a point where it feels weird not too tip it up, even a slight amount.

Less clanging around and less movement overall. Keeps it in place better. Looks better too.

Clearly the scorekeeper miscounted by about 30 odd shots or so.
