  1. There is a rink in Gillingham called Planet Ice Gillingham. Several Kent-based teams play there. Rec teams will also travel to other rinks to play there. This website should provide a link to all rec teams in the UK. Contact the ones in your area, and they should be able to get you squared away. They will have a certain practice time weekly for you to work on yourskills and get to know your teammates.
  2. There is the Centennial Sportsplex, Ford Center Bellevue (West Nashville), and the Ford Center Antioch (Southeast Nashville) all have adult leagues, so it will depend on which part of Nashville you are in. https://www.nhl.com/predators/fordicecenter/bellevue https://www.nhl.com/predators/fordicecenter/antioch https://www.nashville.gov/departments/parks/centennial-sportsplex/ice-skating/adult-hockey-leagues https://www.nhl.com/predators/fordicecenter/adult-hockey-league
  3. I'm still searching. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a pair of Warrior G6 E+ from either Goalie Monkey or Pure Goalie, unless I can find a better deal on Facebook or Sideline Swap.
  4. I think a more.catchier name.would be Right Catcher Nation.
  5. Agreed. My default Bauer bungees broke quickly, so I replaced them with old stretch laces I had from a previous pair of 2S Pros. I then got Pro Laces Armour as soon as I could, and now rock that.
  6. Do they make Elite sticks in full right? It grinds my gears when I go on Pure Hockey and Goalie Monkey, but I can't find a stick in full right that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
  7. I'll look into them. I'll just need to know how protective they are before deciding whether to pull the trigger on them, or saving up for a clearance Ultrasonic trapper or a pro return full right set.
  8. I'm 5'11, almost 6'0, but I wear XL Ultrasonics. I have an 18" ATK/21" FTK. I wear small Vaughn pants, but I have not experienced any interference or problems with protection.
  9. I'm full right, so I can't use M5 gloves. Last time I checked, they only had regular available, both at Pure Hockey and at Goalie Monkey. The only manufacturer with full right available at a similar price point to the M5s is Warrior (G6+/G6.1+).
  10. I switched to full right shortly after I started playing ice hockey. It turned out I was a right shot, so full right worked better for me than regular. I can play either way, but I am full time full right now.
  11. You'd have to find a Canadian to get the stuff for you and have it shipped to you in the US. Another option is to go to Canada and get the stuff from there in person.
  12. Once I earn enough money for a custom set of gloves, I'd love to get my hands on a set of right catch (full right/southpaw) Vapor 90s with pro palm.
  13. Here are my new Ultrasonics. I've enjoyed playing with them. The rebounds are nice and hot. The sliding is excellent. I also haven't had any cheap 5-hole goals with these pads. I've had to scrap the toe ties these pads came with, and later the stretch laces I got from the old 2S Pro pads. I've had trouble with the Bauer toe ties breaking and the stretch laces getting caught under my skates. Hopefully a set of ProLaces will solve my problems.
  14. I have a pair of used 35" Bauer Ultrasonic pads in good condition available for sale. I recently got a pair of new 36" Ultrasonics on clearance, so I am willing to let go of my old pads. The pads have the default Bauer toe ties replaced with ProLaces. Rebounds are nice and hard and sliding was excellent, at least compared to my former pair of 2S Pro pads. I am selling for $550 US plus shipping. If you are in the DC area, you can forgo shipping and PM me for pickup.
  15. I have a pair of XL Ultrasonics I got on clearance. They are great, and I don't have to worry about slipping off the block.
  16. I usually put the equipment on my right side before my left side, but it's a habit, not a ritual. I also talk to my posts and perform a warmup involving shuffles and slides in the crease before I take shots.
  17. Interesting. How good are the gloves, compared to the big boys?
  18. I use a Sumo now, so gloves, pants, mask, chest protector, and skates go inside. Jerseys are in a bag with my change of clothes, shower kit, and water. Sticks attach to the side of my bag, and pads are strapped in upside down, face facing the inside of the bag.
  19. Does anyone have a used 40" Sumo tower bag they are willing to part with? I've heard good reviews about them, and would love to get one to replace my Vaughn wheeled bag.
  20. What is your size? Maybe if you posted info on your Machs, you might find people willing to buy them off your hands.
  21. Is there a way to spec these pads for harder rebounds?
