  1. This is great information. Thank you. It has 7 rows, so it is a XL body. The arms have a long upper arm, but short lower. I actually love the arm configuration with the short lower because it is much easier to move my gloves without interference.
  2. The Cubberly came from Ed himself when he was selling off old shells in January. The shell went to Ray at New Image to be finished, and it is finally landed in my hands. The chesty came from prostockhockey.com.
  3. I have a couple of new items. A bucket list mask - A NOS Mike Richter Cubberly shell purchased from Ed directly and finished by Ray at New Image. I'm going to wear it tonight. And a Corey Crawford Kenesky chesty.
  4. I can do this. I'll write something up. The chesty does have the KW approval on it, so yes on NHL spec. I played in it for the first time on Sunday night and I really liked it.
  5. When I received the chesty it was covered in Millers personal notes for changes to be made. I think Kenesky did build a him a second one, but I do not know what he is using.
  6. So I picked up this Ryan Miller pro-return Chesty. Miller had removed the elbow floaters, so Mike Howard was kind enough to build a new set for me. Apparently the elbows are an old Vaughn style. Additionally, this chesty took Kenesky three days to build. A normal build is six to eight hours.
  7. Just to add a piece of information. Replacement steel is available. It took me almost four months to run it down, but I bought two sets (Around $100 per set). I ordered it by calling the main hockeyservices.com number (269.375.3313). I absolutely love the skates.
  8. This is fantastic! I'm loving my Pro G's but it has been nearly impossible to find replacement steel, so I'm tempted by the idea of putting some Vertex holders on them. -steve
  9. I have bought the Sense Arena home system, but have only used it a couple of times since it arrived last week, so I am not comfortable providing a full review yet. My initial impression, I like it. More information to follow. -steve
  10. The rinks have finally legally opened in lower Michigan, and I have put two ice sessions on the Grafs. I am adjusting to the 3mm steel, and need to put a deeper hollow on them prior to my Thursday skate. Overall I like the skates. I can't really speak to the durability yet. As far as protection, I've taken a few shots off of the toes and haven't felt a thing. So protection seems good.

    JRZ gear

I'll be able to answer this better after more ice. My initial impression is that I haven't really noticed any significant differences, both sets play fast and kick the rebounds out.
  12. After looking for a Canadian made CCM mask for over a year, I just acquired second one in under a month. Tyler Parsons rookie mask from a local FB Marketplace. It is a Kipper tribute on one side. I do intend to wear it a couple of times prior to shelving it

    JRZ gear

I still have my Optiks, and I love them. The Fusion's play very similar to the Optiks, very light, thin, and great sliding. The one thing that stands out on the JRZ's over the Optik's is the thigh rise, it is stiffer and I like that.

    JRZ gear

My Fusion's play more like my Optik's than any of my recent Bauer sets (1S and 2S). I've had them on the ice 3 times so far and each time I like them more. As far as boot stiffness, it is stiff but not crazy stiff. -steve

    JRZ gear

I already posted in in the gear showoff thread, but I think the new kit needs to be in the JRZ thread as well. I also spent 45 minutes on the synthetic ice with them, and I am impressed.
  16. I ordered my JRZ Fusion kit on June 2, and it shipped yesterday. Two weeks from order to shipment. Incredible. -steve

    JRZ gear

So I placed the order for my JRZ Fusion kit on June 2nd. It shipped today. Two weeks. Absolutely incredible! Too bad the rinks in Michigan haven't open yet -steve

    JRZ gear

@Smeds35 - Thank you for posting this. Your kit looks fantastic! I ordered my Fusion's on Monday, and I'm hopeful that they will be here not too long after the rinks re-open in Michigan. JRZ quoted me six weeks for delivery. I went with the stock graphic, but limited the zone usage.
  19. JRZ is building gear now. They are quoting a six week wait time. I hope that is accurate
