  1. Please let us know how you like them. I kind of like this idea.
  2. They are Byonic. Since I can't get Tydan anymore, I'll try anything that isn't Bauer steel. I will review once I get a chance try them https://www.bbyonic.com
  3. I'll keep using Clear Gear, and I'll start looking for something similar to Andy's.
  4. I think Andy is out for now. I am very bummed. He did say that he might get back into it down the road.
  5. I am also a Handy Andy de-stink user, and was getting ready to send him a note to buy another batch. This isn't good news. I started supplementing the De-stink with Clear Gear spray, and it works well. My helmet and gloves get De-stink and the rest gets Clear Gear. cleargear.com I'll also email Andy and see if ordering 10 bottles would help encourage him to mix up another batch -steve
  6. Speaking of Thailand made Bauer. These arrived today. Laurent Brossoit returns. Hyperlite boot, 2S shin, Ultrasonic knee block, and 2X strapping. I can't wait to get them on the ice tomorrow.
  7. Convenience only. The traditional way probably performs better. I have made my life difficult when I forget to re-zero the holder for a different pair of skates
  8. I've tried it multiple ways by adjusting the holder tilt or centering, but all I do now is run the de-burring stone on the inside edge like I'm de-burring, and then use the stone to flatten and dull the outside edge. I don't mess with the holder anymore just because it is too easy to screw it up, and I do sharpen other skates besides my own.
  9. I buy every pro-return full right stick that I can find. Finding stock full right is difficult.
  10. One night, three skates, no peeling, so a small sample size to this point. I did tuck the edges around the wing where possible, and used a heat gun to help remove any bubbling when I installed. I'll put two more skates on them Wednesday night, and check for wear.
  11. This is a fantastic and easy mod. I put some of the 3M product on the knee wings of my VE8's and spent three games last night sliding like I was wearing my 2S or 2X's. No signs of wear or peeling. As others have said, I was even sliding on late game snowy ice. I will be doing this on my other non Bauer kits. I did not have any problems with my knees sticking to each other. -steve
  12. The Itech / Bauer Profile 9601, if you can find one, does better with larger heads than the 961. I believe it is what Price wore early in his career. They have become a bit of a collectors item in the last few years. -steve
  13. Hahahaha! I haven't taken the pics yet. I suck. Sorry.
  14. I will try to get down to the gear cave tonight and take the pics.
  15. I have a set of unused Koho's that I'd sell. $100 plus ship. Would you like me to take some pics? -steve
  16. I took a chance on EBay and bought a used Blademaster BHC2005 Height Comparator. It's purpose is ensure that the center of the wheel and the steel are aligned. It was adjustable enough to work with my Wissota. I discovered that my holder adjustment was off slightly end to end.
  17. I'll need to take a pic, but I have a Red Line Pro 2 with a Campagnolo BMX kit down in the basement
  18. Nice job! Let us know how it goes when you get them on the ice. How did you attach the cord to the skate at the back end? I might have to try making a set of these. -steve
  19. It took me a little while to get used to my Fusion, but I love it now. I have always liked the break, it just took a little while to get used to all of the adjustments. -steve
