  1. The 2400 is more of the traditional approach. What intrigue's me about the 2200 is the fact that it's more flattened out making it easier to go through entries. As for straps, I'm 6'2 and have yet to come across a bag that fell too low off my shoulders. In fact, I experienced the opposite, too short. I've tried putting my pads in a large bag once and it's a no go. I wear 35"-36" pads. Add the xl pants and large c/a...not enough room and way too heavy on one side, bad for the back. Wheeled bags do tend to be too heavy and the chassis do break down fast, not to mention rolling in snow/slush, the salts just eat away at the materials.

    Mckenney Gear

I never understood getting the white pants. That will get so dirty so fast.
  3. Coming back to the licensing and Warrior discussion... It's quite clear that Pete wouldn't want to experience another Tim Thomas episode should they re-enter the league with their gear. As someone stated above, if a goalie truly wanted a set, he would get one period, that I agree. They could just place their own custom order and have it delivered to KW for inspection. Of course, if the goalie asks for logo-less gear, that would be a clear signal of a NHL/AHL goalie ordering. Would Warrior accept? Don't know. What if it's because the gear is not conformed to NHL/AHL rules? This I very much doubt but one never knows. The leagues will go where the money is and who is willing to splurge. It's a monopoly game. Very surprising and frustrating and confusing that Warrior won't play with the big boys. Sure, they got their own clout going at the moment and doing fine. Still...I have mixed emotions on this one. Excuse me...
  4. I think JRZ is still the official NHL supplier. They have a solid reputation.
  5. Not that I can say. Maybe the forced change makes them hesitate the call over
  6. Lets not bring in the wheels vs no wheels argument please. To each his own. I own both. Been lugging my gear on my shoulders for the past 30 years, often on a bus or walking to and from a rink cause I don't own a vehicle. I'm 52 and despite being a tough trooper, I have my F%#$ THIS S&%$ moments. Back to our regular programming...
  7. Seeing how Bauer and to some extent Brian's have stepped up their game innovation wise, Warrior isn't that far ahead that guys wouldn't be curious about it. If the pros in Europe are cozy to Warrior, I'm thinking some guys here wish they could give them a good look. It's true that mods and star contracts would be the make or break factor. Who knows what the next few years might hold.
  8. Tried to find one with no luck...so I started one. Post about your choice and feedback/reviews. I have a Source for Sports vinyl bag, 40". It's massive, somewhat sturdy, no wheels. Only real downsides are how difficult it is to go through doors and it has a straight opening, I prefer a U shape opening but couldn't find one locally for my budget at the time. I've been interested in the following for a while: JB 2200 sr bag. Anyone used one recently? https://brownhockey.com/products/ac/b/2200

    Mckenney Gear

Just visited their website and, no chest protectors or goalie pants in sight. Have they decided to drop them?
  10. I see that often as well but if True paid their NHL license, there's a strong possibility it might stick. I'm sure if say Warrior paid the full license, you might see a few sets being rocked in the show again.
  11. Thought I'd update things. I got my hands on a used Wall certified cage for my Reidic. Unfortunately it doesn't fit. Ordered a cat-eye from reopened Reidic themselves, and the thing doesn't fit my mask, an original Reidic mask of the last model change they made (triangular holes). They actually said "maybe the mask shrunk"...???... Yeah, I'm so "hot headed" that other than the heat remoldable foam, the ABS shell got smaller...not!!! And so, I got in touch with Les Grilles Ange Gardien on Facebook and sent the mask in for a custom wide mouth cat-eye. Should be back within the next week or so.
  12. I was under the impression that Warrior refused to reskin its own lineups.
  13. Have you received any shots (puck, stick) to the neck area? Your opinion?
  14. Regular stuff is still on hold. Ottawa has some shinny opportunities but I feel uneasy taking the risk. It's messing with my mind.
  15. He is SUUUper polite and curtious and professional. Kept using the pronoun "vous" when addressing me in texts, which is the french equivalent of "sir". You have to be patient as he is swamped. My whole project, once I sent in my deposit, to him showing me the template, to my sending in the mask for the job...maybe 4-6 weeks tops? My mask is already on its way home, arrived in Ottawa for sorting today. Should be in my hands in a day or two.
  16. For the first time in ever, other than using decals and such, I got my mask redone with a full wrap by JF Aumais wrapping out of Quebec province. It's an ode to a man I met and had the pleasure to work with who helped me get into goalie coaching, Richard Sevigny. I plan to install a white cage on it to help blend with its pure simple beauty. My gift to me for this season (even if we're not playing )
  17. Can I put 195/60r15 88t winter tires in place of 195/65r15 91t ones? Will they fit?
