  1. Got the elastic and velcro straps attached this morning. Now on to the tricky part, the arms. Warrior arms are now held on by some lace in the shoulders so I’m going make a similar attachment point in the shoulders of my hyperlite.
  2. While my hyperlite has had a good run the arms and shoulder floaters are a bit slim and getting too soft for my taste. Time to fix that. I purchased a Warrior X3 Pro+ chest since I’ve always loved the arms on warriors for their ridiculous size and flexibility. The floaters being the right dimensions was just a bonus. Chest is finally taken apart. A little bit annoying since everything was sewn in unlike the warrior which is velcro and lace. Also had to resew the shoulder caps since they were sewn in with the same thread as the arms. I’ll put it all together tomorrow with more updates. For those wondering I did try the X3 chest first and I’m just not a fan of how stiff the body is and how much the sternum and belly kick out rebounds compared to my hyperlite. Hence why I’m keeping my favorite bits of hyperlite.
  3. My Mach glove came in super stiff even after loosening some laces so time for tgn break in method.
  4. First impressions are very odd. Definitely weird that they’re hard to slide for small pushes but super fast for hard back doors. Feels perfect to me so I’m not oversliding anymore.
  5. White, black, and Vegas grey. Same as my Eflex set since I liked the subtle difference. Unfortunately it’s pretty hard to tell the grey and black apart unless they’re touching
  6. First of all trav has lost all of his connections with the manufacturers and the only reason he got those pads is a fan gave him a Bauer code. But yes any custom Mach set uses the Ultrasonic calf plate and Hyperlite calf pillow. From my understanding the new Mach strapping was such a jump for most guys that they didn’t want to leave the Ultrasonic/Hyperlite tune fit style.
  7. 2-3 more weeks my ass. Got here two days ago with a bunch of my other stuff and my manager never told me since he’s not too fond of me. For those wondering the only differences I got vs stock was nylon lace pocket, long boot strap on a small pad, skate lace toe, and stiff boot angle
  8. I live in Texas and my skates stay in a barely insulated garage with no ac or fan without issue. You should be fine lol
  9. For those wondering about instep problems I fitted two pairs of konekts today for proper fit 3 users and had no issues. These were people that completely filled out the fit 3 depth and then some.
  10. To rub salt in the wound a customer’s bauer set that was ordered on may 25th as well just arrived today. I didn’t do digiprint or anything different to the set just colors
  11. Learned today my Mach set is still another 2 to 3 weeks out. I ordered on May 25th. Training camp is gonna be interesting. I’m considering ordering an Axis 2 set out of spite but it wouldn’t be here til November ish
  12. So little negative space in fact that’s that’s why the toe sleeves exist. They’re used to generate space in the skate for your toes so you won’t be too cramped
  13. I’ve got pretty high arches and a narrow foot but surprisingly no arch pain after 2 weeks of use.
  14. Don’t trust shoe sizes. Depending on brand I’m anywhere between a 9-10.5 shoe.
  15. I have a similar width 8.5 foot and I’m pressed pretty well into the end of the 8s. And in honor of release day I’ve worn them 5 skates now and absolutely love how effortless T pushes and butterfly slides are. Plus I feel much less stress on my knees in rvh for some reason
  16. Weird. We got a few of every single size.
  17. If you’re going Monkey try calling tomorrow. No particular reason.
  18. From my understanding Bauer is also losing money on every single pair of these skates which is why they sent out such small batches. Most likely there will be a replacement in a year or two that’s made of traditional foams and a cheaper thermoplastic. All of that is purely hypothetical but if that’s the case the first generation of konekt is the nicest.
  19. Can’t wait to see how many pairs of those toe sleeves we go through.
  20. They also don’t want to deal with customers complaining their home oven melted their skates because they’re too far from any hockey shop. From my understanding konekt won’t be the only retailer exclusive product from bauer this year. That said I did here rumor of an epp for the skates @ZeroGravitas . No idea when it goes into effect though.
  21. The difference is if you have anything wider than a c width foot its near impossible to try them on. Most new skates feel pretty comfy without baking but the konekts are not.
  22. Konekt will not be on any websites as far as I know. It will be available exclusively at retailers because the skate must be baked properly.
  23. Didn’t think we were supposed to sell them just yet. That said two employees, myself and one other already bought them and I’ve gotten a few skates in with them.
