  1. The toe sleeves are to generate space around the toes when you bake the skates. Without it supposedly balancing is more difficult and the skates can feel a little cramped. The toe sleeves and all other pieces that are used to bake konekt will be shipped with the skates to retailers.
  2. Weird. Maybe corporate bought us some Kevlar gloves for the trues. Or you guys lost them Either way gloves are absolutely necessary and if you don’t use the cold packs with konekt then cooldown is about 35-40 minutes. Unfortunately we didn’t have toe sleeves to bake the first pair so they’re a little too snug. Probably going to have to bake them again soon.
  3. They are absolutely necessary. The Kevlar gloves we use with true skates didn’t cut it for how hot konekt gets.
  4. From my understanding OD1N was simply a sample product sold at retail without correcting any issues. Konekt has had numerous interations and improvements. Even compared to the retail sample pair they made them much more comfortable and a little lighter weight.
  5. Yes we know. We heard you the last 5 times. This is the first time an extremely refined product with all of the mentioned features has been brought to the market. Not just an abs plastic rec skate with hollow-fill padding and paracord laces.
  6. I'd say G5/G6 but I haven't worn an Axis 2 on ice yet. Maybe @TheGoalNet can provide insight to the protection of the 591
  7. Unless you work in retail or anywhere in the hockey industry I completely agree
  8. That's more the point I was getting at. Especially now that Bauer has tightened up the tolerances on their holders blade loss is much less common.
  9. It's netminder. Who knows what he actually meant
  10. None that I'm aware of because these skates aren't even officially released yet. And why would you? This new shell is more protective than any cowling.
  11. Just called Bauer since I'm nearing the 8 week mark (ordered 5/25). Estimated ship date is 7/22 meaning they won't be here in time for main camp.
  12. The shell molds too. This may blow your mind but I actually know what I’m talking about and have had a wide variety of people test fit our sample pair of konekts.
  13. Simply a guy who likes cars. Which reminds me, rust plus exhaust leak creating vibrations leads to broken cat flanges
  14. I thought it was in a Bauer University video but I’ll have to check again
  15. Lol I’ve had one hyperlite that’s lasted me the whole year and the other was broken by Delta so I consider my bauer luck pretty good.
  16. I used it last night and absolutely love playing the puck with it. I definitely need to cut it down to a 24" paddle though for it to be properly usable. 25s throw me off balance in butterfly.
  17. Unlikely due to the one piece knee block
  18. Correct. As far as I know you can rebake these as much as you want. If the store is smart they’ll leave a pair already baked with a generic foot mold in it so that most people can try the skate
  19. For the record, you have to bake these skates to try them on properly and retailers are permitted to bake them for customers without purchase. If you do not bake them they will feel just plain awful.
  20. I sure do love picking up ice time at 18u tier 2 camps FullSizeRender.MOV
  21. Oh hush it's iridescent so it turns purple too.
  22. I know it's lame I'd just like to keep my job and connections lol
