  1. 10-12 weeks last I heard. Just in time for the season
  2. Order placed as of today. The only differences from stock are nylon pocket lace, skate lace toe tie, long boot strap attached, and stiff 120 boot angle. After seeing how well my EFlex's held up I decided to not go for CCM again. Even with the max rebound face foam they constantly put pucks just 7-10ft away making for easy rebound goals. Keep in mind I've only used that set for a season and was on ice basically every day. I loved my 2S Pro pads and was sad to get rid of them. After modifying my 2S Pro blocker to be like Mach and using an Ultrasonic glove for awhile I figured a Mach set was my best bet.
  3. As a kid trying to move out of the house, these prices and frankly my schedule are making it very hard to do so
  4. Pyotr Kochetkov using what appears to be a 2S pro with Mach graphics
  5. My hyperlite held up to AHL shots after it had already taken a season’s worth of beating. They are very solid chests.
  6. Got a close up look at one of these today and safe to say It’s a huge improvement over ultrasonic with more coverage than hyperlite.
  7. I was in the store when his order arrived it’s a pretty sick set top to bottom. Not sure why he had factorymad work on a hyperlite glove though, just sounds like a waste of money to me.
  8. He’s also EBUG with the ECHL Allen Americans and practices frequently with both them and the Stars. Unfortunately due to some medical issues he was unable to make it pro. Once again, being at the game neither Gibson or Stolarz looked truly injured.
  9. I failed to get a picture with him while I was at the game but my former goalie coach Tom Hodges filled in as an Anaheim goalie tonight! Anaheim seemed to be giving every goalie they had a chance tonight even though there were no injuries since they had a different goalie in every period. Huge class act by Anaheim to give him a whole period to himself to experience NHL hockey. For those wondering he’s about 5’9” and those are size small leg pads. EDIT: A couple news articles said Gibson and Stolarz had injuries but being at the game both looked fine.
  10. More of a rumor than a sighting, one of my coworkers ran into Wedgewood at a Kroger (crazy right?) and heard Wedgewood is going to be trying Bauer either soon or during off-season. Something about Oettinger makes Bauer look good and Reimer’s pad (Medium with Small calf and knee placement) would be perfect for Wedgewood.
  11. First official game first unofficial shutout. Other team only had two players show up so they forfeited. Ended up using the ice for a team scrimmage with me switching ends every 10 minutes.
  12. That seems to be a bit of a grey area unless I'm misreading. Via USA Hockey: "All goalkeepers in all Youth, High School and Girls’ age classification must wear a HECC approved helmet and facemask or HECC approved combination Goalkeeper headgear. Rule References 303(b) and 304 (c and d)." "A goalkeeper in the Adult age classification must wear a hockey helmet and full facemask. There is no HECC requirement, but no form-fitted masks are permitted." So while you are 18, I think USA hockey still considers U18 as youth hockey. Juniors you can get away with wearing a cat eye. I did all year and I don't meet the age requirement. Basically if you're going to wear a cat eye then keep a certified cage in your bag just in case.
  13. How similar are G6.1 and G6 in catching surface area? When I compared Warrior's graphics from their catalog, G6.1 looked much bigger. It's starting to sound more and more like a difference in break angle rather than just shape.
  14. From my understanding custom stick orders are supposed to open in July for both ccm sticks. I’ll try and get confirmation on that.
  15. I’m curious why bauer went away from this design since it’s more or less what was used on 2s and prior models. 2s slides outstandingly and 1s supposedly is still the best sliding pad ever made just durability was terrible
  16. Airslide has already been improved for G6 by the addition of a sliding plate. In my experience speedskin slides best when it’s cleaned regularly
  17. Had ccm say pretty much the same thing when I asked them why my max rebound EFlexs weren’t max rebounding anymore. Something along the lines of the equipment is built to handle NHL usage. Those of us playing juniors at a low level and youth hockey can’t afford to have multiple sets a year or even just multiple catchers. In my book any line of equipment that can hold up to the beating of juniors or college for a whole season is as durable as it gets. With that said props to warrior for acknowledging guys in the KHL can’t have as many sets as the North American guys and started making stiffer cores for the KHL and eventually retail as well as intentionally designing the gear to be more durable each year.
  18. Vision and feel are the primary goals. Plus it looks pretty sick (from the face of the glove). By no means was it easy to get on there this first time. Probably had to try at least 12 different ways to lace it before settling on this iteration. I probably take an excessive amount of pride in having gear that’s different from everyone’s which is what causes things like this mesh pocket and white goalie pants.
  19. I think Easter or around that date was the planned shipment arrival time not release date. Could have easily been mixed up
