Pretty much every single one of my friends and I where wearing cheaters by 14 or 15. Cateyes for 16s and 18s. The benefit of a cat eye is almost completely negated in order to have it be certified like you're seeing. Sure you do get the straight on opening, but you get that by adding a fuck ton of bars everywhere else. Standard straight bar cages are more versatile and don't look as awful while also being as protective. MTH Posted September 11, 2023 Share Posted September 11, 2023 That Bauer cage looks like something that a non hockey fan would draw up when drawing a goalie mask. Too many bars in wrong places.
