So played a drop in session last night. Other goalie was 66 years old. I can only hope I'm still playing at that age. I mean, he just kind of laid there for half of the game, but it was still cool to see someone his age out and about. I know he's on the young end of the spectrum for the old man club, so I only have the upmost respect for you guys for hanging in there.

Yea, I noticed a lot more of the vibration when I first started using the stick. Not sure if that's because it was me just getting used to composites or if the Vibexx gel stuff gets better with more use? Not sure. Either way, I have zero issues with my stick and am going to be hard pressed to go back to foam cores. It's just too bad they're so expensive.

How about you show me your C/A after 6 months of use? This elitist wears black gear as it hides sweat stains.

Yea, I've never found getting custom sticks to be worth it. It's like getting a custom coloured jock or C/A. No one except you will ever care about it. Plus, the Silver on Black looks good by default anyways.

Welcome fellow "Foam Core Till I Die" brother. My CR1 I've had since November is still holding up very well. It's dinged and scratched up to hell, but it's durability and performance isn't affected. Just doesn't look as pretty. Still haven't even touched my backup yet.

For some reason I thought there wasn't any lacing in the face of the pad. Maybe that's just my own ignorance then.

That's just kind of the look of the new Bauer products. I remember being at a trade show last year for the 1X launch. I asked the Bauer rep if the 1X glove cuff was defective because it looked like the "skin" was either just hanging off or it was missing something underneath. (I've circled the area I'm talking about). I'm sure the performance of them are fantastic, I just really can't get over the look of them. To me, they just look cheap.

1. That's a hell of a last name 2. The right leg pad looks like it's already indented. Is that just an illusion?

Any chance these pads/elastics are new? I found that when I first got my GT's, the elastic strap at the toe felt crazy tight to what I was used to. Eventually got used to it, as well as the elastics broke in a bit and offered less resistance.

So maybe the guys above will have a different answer, but my local shop said I'm S.O.L. for acquiring any replacement parts for the C2 as apparently Bauer doesn't support the helmet line through parts sales anymore. Pretty disappointing to find out. One of the S.A.W. pieces is on it's way out, so either I need to figure out some sort of replacement or retire the bucket. The latter is definitely something I'm not looking forward to.
