  1. Yes for sure. Upon committing to a team at the NCAA/Major Junior level, players receive a form to fill out with space to list all their gear preferences. It's basically a sheet telling the EQM what gear they need to stock for that player from head to toe, down to stick flex/blade pattern and skate hollow.
  2. Here's a Louisville TPS parallelogram shaped blocker And this Vaughn with the angled side roll A model prior to this had a scaled down vertical roll from a leg pad too
  3. Ooooooh good one! I gotchu fam IIRC the glove was a 5500 clone with the same soft foam bump
  4. Is the Oculus the one with the goalie training app too?
  5. Yeah, it just got extended. LOL
  6. There's a guy that I played with that has over 4000 hours...He quit the game recently lol
  7. Yeah there's a ton of issues. I played D1 religiously from Taken King through Rise of Iron, went into the first year of Destiny 2 and hated it. Came back for Forsaken and it was really good, switched to PC towards the end of the year. Shadowkeep was OK. This year has been better. They made the base game Free to Play, brought back an old raid (Vault of Glass), and you can work towards unlocking the first Darkness subclass now. I've never played a game that I love to hate so much. My PC play time is below.
  8. Bahaha I was thinking of starting one of these. Most recently have been playing Destiny 2 on PC. New season's coming next Tuesday and I've pretty much finished all I want to do this season, so I haven't been on much. Cross Play is coming soon to the game, so if you console dorks want to play together, we should be able to.
  9. Based on how they went in (but without game video), these are my suggestions. Always rotate before push. In a situation like this where the shooter has time and space, if he sees you move with the play across dead horizontal to the goal line, he's going to hold until you're no longer square and then release. IMO you want to attack this play with your toes at the top of the crease and a slightly wider base. How wide you go is dependent on your comfort level in being able to grab an edge with enough power to hit either post. But know that with toes on top of the paint, you basically have the net framed and only need to move laterally while still being able to threaten a poke. Gloves need to be projected forward at a lower angle due to proximity. I'd say your shoulders need to be crested over the puck as well. At this angle, he's probably got a 4x3 to work with instead of the full 4x6 so be confident in your coverage. I actually like that you are a bit off angle to start the play. With a bit of patience you can force him to the short side, and then your save selection is a simple lateral release with your toe box into the post. You can also load your left leg to be ready to push right when he does commit here too. I wouldn't square up exactly to the shooters body as you'd be giving up too much net, but you can line up to where the shaft meets the blade if you are working to bait a certain direction. When they cut, pivot and retreat to post. If you do mistime it and the shooter cuts back, you can bump off your toe box back to grab center of crease. Hand and body control is also key when you move laterally. Think of your body as a wave coming over the puck and project your head and corresponding hand over the puck to smother the aerial angle and your pad eliminating low ice. Also know not to project your gloves past the angle you need to. Once you get moving laterally, if your glove as reached where you need to seal, bring it back in line with your body so you're not extending past the post. Getting beat under the arm in the first example means your glove wasn't projected exactly on angle you need it to be. Pic below is actually a decent comparison to what I'm talking about, although I can't think of many scenarios at the pro level where a guy would be camped out in front of the net with no pressure like we would face in rec leagues. IIRC this was a one-T scenario from the playoffs with the puck moving east-west, so it's not a perfect example, but the player positioning is pretty damn close to what you gave above. Look at Price's depth management (toes/knees on top of the crease) and how his head and shoulders are in front of his knees, blocker is projected forward on angle to the release point of the shot.
  10. Awesome, how long from payment to receiving it?
  11. They make their employees here say "My pleasure" when you thank them. Used to say "God bless" but I guess people got mad about that?
  12. Let me reiterate that the shops I was talking to back in April quoted me 18 weeks. I'm sure it's longer now with pro orders coming in. These same shops had also put in their booking/floor stock orders (which were delivered last month), so I find it extremely strange that your shop "had no information" on how to place your custom order.
  13. The NHL actually banned non-rectangular blockers, which is probably why this design quietly disappeared. The Bauer Reactor 6000 was similarly shaped
  14. Lexan cowlings on the Bauer skates too. Remember seeing these things crack all the time, and they were super heavy Also, heated skate blades https://www.purehockey.com/product/thermablade-heated-replacement-holders-w-runners-senior/itm/2363-41/ "sorry boys, can't skate tonight. Forgot to charge my skates"
  15. RE: Quality - IMO skates have gotten better. My one piece skates ordered last year have held up a lot better than my two piece ordered in 2017. True reps are on record as saying they want to keep production in North America, and are scaling Lefevre's operation as such. I don't think we'll have to worry about the pro line being made overseas. If they choose to offer Senior, Int, and Junior gear, I'm sure these lines will be done in Asia. RE: Lefevre - The issue here is with your retailer. I was flirting with the idea of getting a set of 12.2s in April, and everywhere I looked I was told 18 weeks. Keep in mind, the problem is not just with Lefevre. All manufacturing (hockey or not) is experiencing delays and backlogs caused by supply chain and other issues due to Covid, and Lefevre is no exception. To give an example, I ordered a pair of pants from Vaughn on May 18th. Per the rep I spoke to, pants are done exclusively in Ontario. I was just told they might ship next week, that's almost 15 weeks for pants. I would throw guess out there that Lefevre was not as well-prepared for moving to retail with True as they could have been. Keep in mind, prior to the True acquisition, they were producing all pro level gear for CCM until the Reebok Premier 4. After that, CCM moved all retail pro to Asia, and Lefevre probably had to cut staff while building for NCAA, Euro Pro, and Junior only. Now Lefevre has had to pivot again and not only build for Pro/NCAA/Junior/Europe but also manufacture floor stock/booking orders for retail, in the midst of a pandemic. And we're at the time of year now where pros are getting their orders in, so retail is going to be pushed further back. It's a shitty situation for sure.
  16. Hehehe GGSU is silly and IMO is becoming a "for profit" group with the camps. There was some drama a couple years ago about the raffle and one of the mods pocketing money from it r/hockeygoalies is a dumpster fire. I swear every third thread in that Reddit sub is a question about what masks are good or how to relace a glove. The rest is guys trying to carve out a social media following for themselves on Youtube, basically a goalie version of OnlyFans
  17. Might be a Miklin? http://miklin.ru/en/equipment/protectors/a2/
