  1. Who told you this? The Infinity guys? It probably has more to do with MOQ (minimum order quantities)
  2. The one with the extra rib pads was gone the morning after they posted this!

Do you compete for ice time with this friend? I wouldn't recommend Bay Area to my worst enemy. I don't even think Essan does much of the patch/repair work anymore.

Double post to answer your second question, Mike Vaughn has either ownership interest (or possibly flat out owns) a plastics plant and a Jenpro/clarino production facility So, YES! He is probably raising a grass-fed, Wagyu quality synthetic cow with carbon fiber reinforced bone structure, Bio-Flex internals and +3 sizing on the flank.

If they are like most production facilities (not just in hockey), they manufacture for retail in batches; and I'm talking mainly store stock here. IE. they manufacture only gloves for 2 weeks. Then rotate to pads. Then rotate to pants, etc. This explains the 14 week time for pants, you probably caught them at the very end of their cycle when they were rotating into different gear. I'm sure pro orders are made as they come in, piece by piece (clogging up the process) Some manufacturers are offering "booking windows" for their retail partners. Basically the premise is to book by a certain date for delivery in a certain timeline. Smaller custom shops manufacture as pro orders are made, piece by piece. My Kenesky set was done within a week. The rest of the wait was just prior orders. USA: Dennis at FactoryMad You can email PAW to see if she's willing to take it in, she might. Rebound Athletic Repair (they're on Facebook, based out of St Louis) Canada: Mike at Kenesky (Toronto) If you'd like, post or PM me some pics of what you are thinking of doing; I might be able to walk you through it if you think you're willing to do it on your own.

Never order gear in the summer months, it’s mad production time for all the pro, college, and junior players!
  7. What about...Goalie Monkeys...?
  8. You mean we can't just reboot the computer it's being hosted on when things go sideways?
  9. The Goalie Crease just posted some new pro stock stuff they got on Facebook. What's interesting to note is the logoless Warrior and the Premier unit front and center with extra rib protection. The Premier in front is very intriguing, it looks baby sized compared to the other ones. Maybe a Fit 2/Medium?

The glove doesn't exactly feel like a 590. The thumb angle feels a bit more curved and slightly shallower. The break itself felt somewhere between a 580 and 590.
  11. I was flipping through some Youtube vids and caught this. Roy with Mrazek straps back in 1997! We should rename them (unabashed Roy fan here)
  12. I was told the league will move forward with custom sized chest and arm units next year based on player measurements, similar to how leg pads are now sized. Based on some units I've seen, it wouldn't surprise me if curved arm protection is banned in favor of something more form fitting.
  13. Goalie SAM is a 10' - 50' - 27'. Some shops will do the first re-profile for free if you don't like the first one.
  14. More on the balls of my feet with the added bonus of keeping me on the shorter side (20') of the dual radius while in ready position. I see the most benefit when my team is on the PK and there is a lot of puck movement in the zone; being able to pivot and adjust my angle a split second faster because of the shorter blade has helped keep me a step ahead of the play most of the time. Once I'm down, I start by engaging the ice with the back 30' half of the blade to dig and push as it's more stable. I believe this is the correct way to do it anyway, as you can utilize the entire surface area of your edges this way, and if you need to you can roll it from heel to toe if you need to cover a long distance. Adjusting to the new pitch felt pretty awkward for the first 30-60 mins on it. It's hard to explain; I felt like my shoulders were a bit too far forward - they really weren't, I just had more weight on the front half of the blade.
  15. I'm basically on the same setup (boot, holder, same exact blade profile), except with Tydan steel and an aggressive forward pitch. The nice thing with the Tydan steel is I sharpen less, so that would hopefully mitigate how often I need to re-profile the steel
  16. I don't think the D30 goes across the break. It should just in the semicircular crease in the center of the palm, you can see it protruding a bit when the glove is new. D30 as a material is not designed to break in. Upon impact it is supposed to rebound and stiffen immediately; it would be counterproductive for them to place it into the break. Have you tried baking the glove in your local shop's skate oven? This typically loosens up some of the glues and plastics and makes it a bit more pliable. The warm water method works similar to a skate oven as well.
  17. No. I saw the 2S sticks at retail today, it the sticks I saw were Antique Gold (old Pittsburgh gold, like Crosby rookie year), not to be confused with Sport Gold (Boston/current Pittsburgh/Buffalo). Incredible sticks. I like how they thinned out the paddle at the edges around the Ergo Spine. Reminds me of the old Hespeler goalie sticks.

I fit a 34" Warrior, could possibly go up to a 35", but I would probably wear a Medium (34") Bauer 1X/1S/2S. Boot breaks are very stiff on the Bauer.

FYI If any of you are interested, there's a guy on SidelineSwap selling some 25" 1X pro returns in white/sport gold letters with a Mrazek/Price curve. Awesome looking sticks if I didn't love my Warriors so much. https://sidelineswap.com/gear/hockey/goalie-sticks/394817-bauer-1x-25-paddle-curve-price
  20. For sale ad on GGSU. Same dude is selling Price's VH skates. Tan interior, looks like a beefed up tongue. The tan clarino is stitched onto the inside edge of the tongue. CCM footbeds
  21. Before switching to the new Premier, Price wore a P1. Looks like an XL based on the number of rectangular blocks, and notice the wider elastic band across the back.
  22. Workaround for the big Google Ads popping up and blocking text: I hit refresh. Usually makes it disappear. The Xing out the box does nothing. It blocks the ad but the rectangle is still there blocking the text.
  23. Nice wheels! What size did you get? I've been wanting to get my hands on the stock D30 footbed to try out. Maybe we can make a deal...
