  1. Should have seen the previous years models. That car looked like jetski
  2. The 2022 Winter Classic drew 1.4M viewers. I haven't seen anything yet from this year's game. I didn't watch. I did see that it was at Fenway again and all. Feels like they play there every other year now.
  3. You're too young for this - but there was a famous ad for a shitty Chrysler car in the day that bragged about it rich feeling interior. It was all BS. But cool ad with a cooler dude... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvyTTx33PPQ
  4. What team is that? I like the jersey.
  5. Why stop at 6? Just make them 8s... Sent from my iPhone 26
  6. I just bought my son a pair of HyperLite 'prototype' skates. Kinda unnerving to spend $700 on skates with no warranty. These were the Hyperlite skates before the Hyperlite skates came out. Added plus is that they come with the steel. The Hyperlite skates are about $1000 and don't come with any blade steel. It's absolute madness! I thought non goalie gear was 'cheaper'. LIES!
  7. Byron Bafoe's gear was killer. Great look on the Bauer set. I guess it's more an Itech / JRZ / Bauer throwback...
  8. I was reading through the posts and had that 'this can't be real' thought. Other members were calling BS on some stuff too that people just "found online". Others didn't want to hear it:
  9. For cars - the companies hire guerilla marketing people to whip up pseudo hype for their new item. Using a consultant distances the maker from the supposed people that are excited for the product. Ford most recently did this with the Bronco. They hired a company to create the official Bronco forum and fill it with all kinds of things about the new Bronco. Supposed spy shots, insider information that they got from "a source". They also make up tons of users. Jeep did it with the newest Wrangler too when it was coming out in 2018. I literally searched the owner of the site through google and saw that it was a marketing company. When you went to the marketing company site, they had Jeep and Ford as customers. I got banned from both sites for pointing that out in a "discussion" about the vehicles on the sites.

My 2017 Wrangler blew the head gasket a few weeks ago. Sad to let my Jeep go after all the hours and love I had for it. New engines are a little over $5k and not easy to get right now. After 151k miles, the cost for a new installed engine (I don't feel like installing it) is more than I wanted to pay for a high mileage truck. RIP

Not a fan of that place. Arnold's next door? I like.
  12. Never knew they were rebuilt. Learn something new every day. The whole 'Revolution' line was odd when it was launched. Not just the goalie stuff. But what else would you expect from a line of gear called "revolution"?
  13. I'm glad the NHL has limited thigh rise and made the gear more form fitting. What?

Got to say, that was an odd bounce that puck took off the end wall. Kicked up and then hit the side of his pad. I play at the Flyers Training Center (where they practice) and always am amazed how live the boards are there. Most rinks have boards that are like wet newspaper. I imagine the practice rink is pretty much the same as the rink at the Flyers stadium.
  15. This picture is amazing: http://www.allhabs.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/RTroycorey.jpg The fact that Patrick Roy went to the bench and was able to talk with Ronald Corey at the bench was amazing. The Forum had no glass behind the Canadiens bench. So this could occur during the game. Then he sat and used his coat as a headrest for his sweaty head.
  16. Don't be a hater. Or is it H8R? Word up!
  17. To the buyers? None. My kid's rink changed the pro shop to a Bauer shop. They have little goal gear and no images of goalies posted up in the store. They seem to have moved to generic Under Armour style model showing their gear. Heck they seem to have really focused on the casual gear line of clothing more. I know they are with lulumon - but we all get the Bauer holiday catalog and there is limited gear shown in it. They also focused nicely on selling the new $350 agent sticks to the kids and tell you kick rocks when they break in a week. Thanks. (warranty gets only one replacement and you have to send it into Bauer now and not do it at the local store where you bought it)
  18. When you run that drill - you just keep asking the other goalie if he can smell what the rock is cooking.
  19. Fanatics sells game used/issued stuff. Neat to be able to find this stuff... Here's his CCM 'H10' (Heaton stick w/ CCM name) stick. Same pointy heel and flat tip toe. Even his H4 Heatons had that same pointy heel: Seems like that heel was a legacy model of the old 90s Sher-Woods that he used in Juniors and as a rookie: Makes sense now. Those 50 pound sticks had that sharp heel.
  20. The later Sher-Wood Brodeurs had this sharp point at the heel and were just goofy to use. Again, world's best goalie at that time gets what he likes. I'm not sure if this was carry over from Heaton/CCM stick days or a later evolution of his requests. Odd as heck stick in person.
  21. Did you ever try an actual Martin Brodeur pattern stick? Odd like many HOF goalie sticks were. Lundquist pattern was awful too. Great pattern? Hextall pattern. Monster curve. Plus you could hack the hell out of any unsuspecting fools standing in front of you.
