  1. First game in with the new version of the Pro Bridge Kit (formerly RYNO) and couldn't be happier. Having the velcro stitched to the plastic piece instead of just stuck on is a huge improvement, and of course having it covered in jenpro at all is nice since with my all-black setup the white plastic bit looked out of place
  2. I saw this on Twitter. Love the look of the chesty. Very streamlined. I just need to find out if Brian's can do large body with medium arms because retail chestys never have arms that are adjustable enough.
  3. Absolutely love my outsider straps! Just make sure you don't get the ones with snaps. I don't like those.

    This is hilarious.
  5. But the numbers are meaningless without a point of reference. But whatever I guess. Silly me thinking post quality matters more than traffic.
  6. I guess I was just hoping we could create something useful that actually adds value rather than just continuing a pointless thread.
  7. This thread isn't especially useful unless you're using actual measurements like we were TRYING to determine in another thread (though that one was quickly de-railed too by people posting manufacturer sizes instead of real sizes)
  8. Never used Warrior, but Brian's were really stiff out of the box.
  9. The other way around. Passau is (one of) the only one(s) with a paddle height that is measured in actual inches. The rest of the industry needs to start doing that.
  10. They are definitely going to be heavier than Bauers, no question. But like you said, the fit and comfort make the weight difference so unimportant. It's not like we as goalies are skating around the ice all night like a forward would be. The only way you can shave weight off is going to be to have them cut larger holes in the holder area, but you're going to hit that line between weight and structural integrity at SOME point (I have no idea where). With all of that being carbon fibre, you're not going to notice it enough to bother.
  11. While the bend is very slight and you'd probably be okay, you have to consider that cages are meant to bend on impact. I look at it like it's done its job, time for a new one. I always have an extra one on hand at home in case I get a dent. With yours I'd bet you're okay, certainly until you're able to get another one, but that depends on the level of risk you're willing to take on. It always blows my mind when I see guys who think its okay to play with a bent cage because "it didn't break yet". As for the paint, not much you can do about the damage other than to do what you can to keep it from chipping more. On a plain white mask I'd just suggest hitting it with a few layers of clear nail polish.
  12. I mean you could technically be ready for a game with it... "blocking style" ... is that what they're calling his inability to catch a puck?
  13. I always get a kick out of people referring to the "keeps method" as if he discovered or invented it. Maybe it's just that he's got the only YouTube video that actually describes how to do it? Anyway, because my palm had maltese in it, just wrapping it wasn't sufficient. I used a clamp right on the break after every skate to help break it in. I've never used a stretcher before though. I always see photos of peoples gloves with one in the pocket. I've never quite figured that one out. My glove opens just fine. It's the closing that I have a hard time with.
  14. If its like it used to be, you could get them actually drilled any size you wanted (within reason).
  15. It helps that in the case of True skates there's no break-in time needed for a replacement pair if it does get broken. Though us beer leaguers generally don't exactly have the funds to take that chance.
  16. I'm no longer welcome as an administrator here so the theme has been reverted.

Yikes. I do not miss having to break in skates.
  18. Any chance you'd be willing to send out a small sample? I keep buying NME8 masks just because the padding is so comfortable. The gel inserts eliminate pressure points. I found Maltese too hard also. That's why I went back to the stock NME padding. Pretty much, gets less gross though.
  19. Very nice looking masks. I just don't know if I could get used to that foam.
  20. Agreed. Fantastic gloves for the price.
  21. Is that the new SR-level series? Wow, I just looked it up. That thing looks fantastic. And being Brian's you know its going to be quality, even if non-Pro level. The leg pads look pretty great, too.
  22. No more option for 3-packs though?
  23. I made one a while back. I should do another one now that a lot of it has changed.
  24. yeah I highlighted the butt end part Your jersey number, or 1-3 so you can tell which stick is which? I've done the latter when I had multiple sticks that looked the same.
