Cool specs!! I don't need a new set, but I've played around with the customizer a few dozen times. I agree on the innumerable combination of options. IMO I think they should have say 3 or 4 (maybe 4 is even too high) "pre-builds" the Lefevre staff consider either common combinations or "purposeful combinations." They could even base the combinations on their Pros... Fleury Spec, Luongo Spec, Crawford Spec. From there you can roll as is or fully customize. Not too different from what they do with stock color schemes. I liken it to (and perhaps an obscure reference) but the ice cream shops where you actually build you own ice cream. The dairy/non-dairy base, flavor combinations, add ins, etc etc etc... gives people too much opportunity to screw it up. Tell me what you guys feel is good, if i want to add a little something I'll ask.

Mind sharing details on the specs you ordered?

I practice the same... open the back and stretch the pocket during drying... tie up afterwards. Takes longer than some other methods but I feel like I'm not abusing the materials by forcing them prematurely like some other methods do.

Agreed w/ you here Coop... I fell into a 580 w/ Koho... I've tried other breaks (and brands)... but nothing ever feels the same as a 580. I suspect it will be abandoned sooner rather than later though as it's not very conducive to today's demands on puck handling . Just doesn't have that nice notch to get a good snap... more of a push.

FedEx delivered today... not going to be playing for a couple weeks so I'm going to take my time in cleaning up the mask etc... even considering a fresh coat of paint for the bucket... In the words of Bishop Don Magic Juan... Green is for the money & GOLD IS FOR THE HONEY!!!

That's great... I wear Retro-Tan now... but I had that set of 580s. The glove was a vacuum, and the leg pads let you feel where the puck hit w/o feeling too much. Loved that set.

Unlike our Elitist friend @coopaloop1234... I'm still stuck in foam core and could really use the help to get out. So I think I could use it far more than he could... also... you and I have similar styles... check out my last Passau set. Would have gotten ghosted matte black on the logo if they still offered it... just sayin'... brother...

Salt in the wound... good for you... but it makes it sting even more knowing you didn't have to shell out your own $$$. Let me know next time you have one of those bets with your boss and I'll give you $200 for your troubles in getting some made for me in my specs.

6' and short shins by chance? I ask because when I purchased my Retro Flexes I also did a +2.5 and I underestimated how high the boots now sit on skates as well as how they don't really break down around the skate (like they used to.) The thigh comes up pretty high and actually has a tendency to interfere when in VH or RVH in particular. Because of that I'm looking to have them shaved down about an 1" (maybe slightly more) now. Just an FYI. I do like how you used the color zones. Good looking set.

Lived up that way for a couple years after high school.

I would have liked a white one as I just ordered a new white chesty... but black makes more sense with puck marks... and used should have bled whatever was going to bleed out for the most part already. Probably still be on the lookout for a Q one. I suppose I could just find a LHJMQ crest, but would rather have an actual I like the 58 fit as well, usually. Not a fan baggy jerseys, especially at the sleeve ends and under the arms.

Picked up a used WHL 58 G from sideline swap... really wanted a LHJMQ one... but good enough.

I think this keg discussion needs further exploration.

Ordered a new double bar cateye for my Wall W6H... just placed the order with Passau about an hour ago for a new C/A... and Passau sticks finally arrived a week ago or so.

Looks like your defenseman and the forward crashing the net are in action... you however didn't do a very good job in avoiding him. Just stayed in that crease like a deer in headlights.

Been using an Easton pro stock Connecticut Whale bag for a while now. Pretty sure I found it on ebay for like $50 back in 2015. Nothing fancy... nothing to go wrong... just a big U-zipper and some handles. Heavy duty and has held up really well. It all fairness I also have the luxury of my closet which is right in the mudroom so I don't need to carry it up and down stairs etc.

I understand Bauer has some work ahead of them on how to do custom work for the masses. My point is really more about the stock graphic and how there should be more options for base besides white without having to be considered a custom job. I actually kind of like the stock graphic... but maybe with a black base or something.

So as you're apparently no longer welcome as an admin... did you actively revert it back to the previous theme then?

From what little I know... I agree on the ridiculous cost. And given how the C.O.R.TECH Skin seems to retain puck marks (images below taken from @1C5 after an estimated 100 skates) I'd just want to see other base colors before spending any of my cheddar. I don't recall ever seeing actual rebound comparison testing... but given the lack of base colors and the overwhelming concern on durability... I'd probably opt for FLY Optiks or Premier IIs at this point.
