  1. Blocker, yes, that's cool and the setup isn't all that hard. The glove on the other hand, if the palm isn't set exactly as you had it before taking it out...well that would just drive me nuts
  2. You know as much as I do that if they brought it back, you'd be all over it
  3. Sometimes when you watch a televised game, you can probably catch some on ice "communication" between the players, some cues, some directions, occasionally some salty or foul rebuttal. Last night, during the last minute of a period I was told the best compliment, "VA CHIER!!" (which is French for kind of F$#% YOU) after stoning a shot in an open net with my right pad off a big rebound. Ahhhh, people are so nice in hockey, you know
  4. Taper at the inside toe?
  5. I wish the 7.0 glove would have a permanent palm. I wish they would of kept the GT2 line but have the new leg strapping. That'd be killer
  6. Have you experience with it? On pants?
  7. Well... Just got news that the team has been sold to the Utah Jazz owner and that he intends to move the team there, providing he builds an appropriate arena within the next 5 years. So the league falls short at 31 for the next little while? Will there be a mad scramble to fill in the gap? Will Québec finally have their chance? Or will Bettman screw us over again with another American team franchise? Either way, this will affect the schedule for next season no doubt.

  9. His Boston set-up looked much cooler
  10. I did see that on Cody's glove. Been chatting with him. Never noticed on Heart. Kassimir has his own logo as well.
  11. Watching last night highlights, I noticed Vasy has logo style initials on his catcher. Noticed one or two other pro goaliesdo this. Does he have his own Russian YouTube channel as well?

My boys are obviously out. Who's left aside Toronto and Edmonton in Canada? I know, I should be on top of this as a Canadian but I only get to see highlights on YouTube and occasionally catch HNIC if lucky.
  14. So great for the untuck gang, extra puff at the belly. As much as I anticipated this unit, what I'm reading is turning me off a bit. I'm not playing pro of course, and I won't necessarily shy away from a bit more protection but having tried the AB18 on ice, that to me was the max tolerable in c/a protection. Closest to that I've used is a Brown unit. Kaskisuo was testing one some weeks ago. He said he liked it but was still playing with his Mach. Wonder if he'll give some feedback in any upcoming video? I wonder if you can order them without the extra lining inside? With the design of the arms dating back to the Premier Pro of 3-4 years ago, the arms all have the tendency to wear at the same places in the same fashion. Have they improved on that with the new model?
  15. I kinda was expecting the retail version to be a tad less, meaning not as thick in the arms and belly making it more flexible, lighter, but no less protective for the non-pro keepers...and no more expensive since it's off the rack, not custom. This is where Sezzle and other programs will come in handy. @Madmedic6 is the overall fit the same? Does it sit the same on the shoulders? is the wrap the same? Anything else you can mention?
  16. Not sure I contributed yet but... BAD: Tack 452 skates. Horrible pain!! Did some nerve damage to my big toe, took a full year to be able to feel it again. Good: This is a hard one. I loved my Brown 503 c/a. It got wrecked in a flood and I had to throw it out. My Fleury pro-return H5 c/a. Sold it to upgrade. My Eagle Pro-return TT10 glove with mostly corduroy, light as heck. My Jofa glove from the late 80s, the one with the outside finger stalls. Sold it out of frustration . A tie between my Eagle PMW1 Kotyk Pro-return pads and my Heaton Helite-Z asymmetric design. Both were terrible for the modern butterfly slides but kicked ass in the old school/hybrid department. The list could go on lolll
  17. @ThatCarGuy Kudos for facing your inner demons for lack of better words. It's hard for a man to show his emotions, especially us old cats. Playing with obligation or guilt of others is not what you want. I'm happy that you managed to experience the level of hockey you have as many of us didn't get that chance. Quite a few of us had big dreams and whatever the path, it's never easy cause if it were, a lot of us would have played pro somewhere at some point. I feel the stress trying to come up with big wins in competitive beer league, I can only imagine the demands at your level and beyond. Many in the game have sought out support and even took a step back to recoup or reset and possibly stop altogether. Whatever you decide, you are in charge of your own well being and happiness. A good bunch of us, as you already mentioned, are here to help and support. Don't ever feel like you're imposing and bothering someone.
  18. So, has anyone seen this bad boy hit the racks yet?
  19. Just to update with some personal feedback, on the weekend I went to a local PIAS and I saw a Brian's Optik2 c/a. It looked massive and I thought it was a large or even xlarge. I looked closer and it was a medium. Just for kicks I decided to try it on. Keep in mind I'm 6'2, 195?lbs. I don't have a super long torso, more legs is what makes me tall. Although I've always worn a large and my recent xlarge c/a (a mistake I'm sure) is clearly too long as some witnessed with my pics, the Optik seemed to almost fit??? I swear there's no rhyme or reason with gear today. I fiddled a bit with it but so much velcro here and there and everywhere, green eggs and confused Sam I am!!! The more I see things, the more I favor the Bauer 2S/1S and Pro Series, as well as the P1 series of old. Straps and lacing, that's it, plain and simple.
  20. I've been reading off of GGSU or the Warrior Goalie page on FB that some were up to 8-9 weeks for just a glove. Since it's the end of the season and they only serve Euro pros not the NHL, time waits should improve until their summer vacation.
