Can you clarify:  are you saying the only players there will be the standard compliment on the ice and no one on the benches? I assumed they would limit each bench to say 3 spares. That would allow a good physical distance but still reduce the need for an AED :)

I have heard of a number of places where they say "No one allowed in the stands". Yeah, so status quo with my hockey....I actually saw the Zamboni operator run and cover his eyes to keep from being emotionally scarred when we got on the ice.

Yep, maximum 10 players total, 5 allowed per dressing room.

Think we are going to do 3 on 3 with one spare each.

  2. I am scheduled to be on the ice June 20 and 27.
The arena I am playing at has the following rules:  Maximum 10 players (including goalies) on the ice, 5 per dressing room.  Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before, stay no later than 15 minutes after, no showering.

The region I live in has done very well during this situation, definitely helped by our geography.  I live on Vancouver Island, the largest island on the west coast of North America - 12,000 sq miles (32,000 sq km) - with a population of just over 870,000.  We have had a total of 130 cases with 5 deaths.  Yesterday, at the hospital I work at, we discharged our last Covid patient who is now fully recovered.  We now have zero active cases on the Island, and have not had a new confirmed cast on over 3 weeks.

Early on, ferry routes over to the Island were drastically reduced in frequency and capacity, and a large percentage of hotels closed severely limiting the number of people that could come over to the Island.

  3. I wore one during the 89/90 season attached to a Cooper HM50 cage.  Quite the opposite of @keeperton and @Wonder35 experience, with that cage, and the HM30 if mounted in the correct place it barely moved at all and did not clank around.  That's what I liked about it compared to a traditional dangler which I had worn the previous season.  That being said, the following season I did not use it, and have not used one since.

    Thanks Naz.

Highway 1 eastbound, just after the grandview highway on ramp. Lady couldn't figure out how to merge onto the highway and then rammed into me thirty seconds later.

    Just a joker.

Ahhh yeah, Langley area would have had a shit-ton of construction LOL

Well, you know, merging is a difficult concept 😒 You should see the confusion over here with all the roundabouts they are putting in instead of traffic lights.

Rest in peace old truck. Despite the lack of vehicles in the road, I managed to get smoked from behind on the highway. Lady hit me going 60-70k while I was almost stopped.

Don't feel bad about bumping old threads.  That is the desired procedure.  Otherwise we have 10 threads covering the same topic and I have to go and merge them all.  So someone is knocking off 'Dillas now?  @Don Straus you see this?

I know that's the guy that gets replica paint jobs and gets pros to sign them and then sells the masks for ridiculous prices.

    Fixed that for ya!

I think Don was tagged on a FB post about this.

Why would you not on a custom chesty? Silly not to IMO

Because in this day and age of the mindset of the "disposable society" , even with custom, people still buy with the thought of future selling the piece.  Having full right limits re-sale value.

    Good morning gents,

Just received new to me Heaton 5 glove and blocker. I've always been a Vaughn loyalist but have always been curious about Heaton/Brian equipment. Through the years of playing have worn  an entire set of Brian's and a Heaton glove. Anyways, just curios if I can get info about the H5 glove. Since everything of the GSBB has been wiped off the face of the internet I was able to fine Heaton information here but not what I was looking for. I've inserted pics of both the glove and blocker. The glove is 4700 model and blocker is a 6700 model. Was the 4700 a senior version made with lesser grade material as oppose to the 6700? The jenpro on the 4700 does feel less in quality than the 6700. The H5 logo is heat printed on the glove and on the blocker is a raised rubber logo. Any info will be helpful. Thanks. Enjoy the pic.

Yes, 4700 was the Senior version.  You can see the SR tag in one of your photos.

Also, as you alluded to, the H% logo is heat transferred.  As seen in the attached photo, the Pro version had the full H5 rubberized logo.

I'm retiring after this season. I have a garage of old ass gear. My kids will never use it. I'll get some up here soon.

Well shit, sucks that you are retiring.  I will watch for what you post, mayyyyyyyyyy be interested (probably will be).

  13. Sure it forced him to be flailing and erratic... BUT, there were many times he continued to try shuffling on his knees or sliding... when all he had to do was stand up, and move over.

I will be invited to a 30 year class reunion next year, in which I will not attend; however- we were still playing with horsehide, cowhide, felt and deer hair back in my day!

Just had my 30 year High School Reunion 2 weeks ago!

  15. In December of 1989, the Junior Team I was playing for played against a Touring Junior team from Czechoslovakia.  After the game, I traded my Hextall Vic stick with their goalie.  30 years later, I still have the stick.

Another year has passed and I’m grumpier, angrier, crustier and a hell of a lot less healthy than before!!!! Got a few less stock parts and the new parts don’t work quite as well.

Who wants to help me revive this dinosaur thread?!?

    Damn straight.

I am actually healthier, aside from the torn MCL.
Just had my yearly treadmill test, 5 years now since my heart attack, and I kicked serious ass on the treadmill despite the MCL.

I was still in Port Moody at that point of my life.

Though, I was born on the island. I probably just brought that trait with me.

ahhhh, nicely played.  If you still have your Island tendencies, then you are probably very fond of Lucky Lager.
