Immortals: Fenyx Rising was really enjoyable, definitely followed the Ubisoft open world game formula (which I enjoy). Definitely felt overpowered by the end of it though. Looking forward to that and the sequel to the latest God Of War which I just replayed. God of War (2018) is amazing. Maybe not my favorite game ever, that may have to go to KOTOR or KOTOR 2. Also looking forward to whenever a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order gets made. Nothing better than travelling the galaxy with a lightsaber. Far Cry 6 should be a good time too.

33+1 FLX full set, used a couple of seasons but lots of life left. No skate cuts or rips, but the 2nd boa strap in the catcher doesn't tighten anymore but the 1st and most important one does. This is the first iteration of the NHL series with the Frostbite engine, so hopefully the changes are more noticeable than just updated rosters and a couple new dekes. That being said, I've played or owned every single EA NHL game (and 2K versions when they were still around) since NHL 93. I buy it yearly to be mostly disappointed.

Currently using a set of G4 Classic Pro in 32+1.5.

Vaughn is one brand I've never tried for pads/gloves. None of the gloves have ever felt right. I've used Smith and Warrior now primarily for probably the last 6-7 years, interspersed with the above mentioned sets and a Passau set as well as CCM. Gotta find me a well priced G5 set in 32+2ish.

I've now bought Gnetik 3s, Optiks and Vapor 2X while owning Warriors and each time I've kept the Warriors. Perhaps I should just stop.

Ah yes, cutting out liquid calories, especially alcohol can have a tremendous impact without having to change much else.

I feel like that's a pretty succinct way to put it. Honestly, I barely noticed the difference between my previous G3 sets and my current G4 set, and I don't think when I eventually find a G5 set for cheap enough in the right size and close enough colours that it will be marked departure either.

Eh, make a few hundred grand more while playing the game you love? Why not!

Skated twice last night, 7:30 and 10:00 with a one slot break in between. Didn't die! Spending an entire evening at the rink made me feel like a kid again.
