    Not fun indeed. I decided to shut it down for the season and take the summer off of hockey this year too most likely. That gives me a solid 8 months to rehab it.

    Well, my season came to an early close most likely from the other night. First shooter in a shootout and I made just about a split save, however, I cannot perform the splits and the cheers from my bench ended when they realized I could no longer stand. It appears as though I've torn an adductor for the second time in 5 months.

    After 7 years in the same pants they felt a little foreign to me at first, but I've skated with them a few times and I don't have any complaints yet. The protection is good and they're quite comfortable. I really like the inner belt, I've never had a pair with that before.

    Retired my old Simmons 996 pants and picked up a pair of Warrior Ritual X pros + knee pads. The knee pads are way beefier than the G3 senior level ones. Looking forward to trying them out tonight.

    Nice. My father-in-law has a Hellcat (Challenger) that I've had the privilege of driving (once, ha). I can't imagine that being too much slower with how much of a porker the Challenger is.

    Nah, the only thing I noticed was having to loosen up some of the strapping on the arms as it was a little tougher to get on with the increased circumference due to the padding.

    I've been using the Vaughn shirt for just about the last month, I have no complaints. Haven't been getting too warm, I've taken a couple shots in the collarbone area that would have put me out for a bit without it that I definitely felt, but no lasting injury. I think it's worth the money.

    By no means am I saying it's bad hockey, but in the scheme of things it's rather inconsequential.

    I wouldn't use a Junior B league as any kind of measuring stick for what's legal and what's not.
