    Interesting, I wonder if after that polyurethane clear coat wears off, if you could sort of "recharge" it if the film itself is still serviceable with a small application of a ceramic coating/sealant product.

    Before, during and after not necessarily in that order. Little bit tricky getting the trimming just right on the G5 knee wing as there's not a lot of jenpro on the edges and the backside is velcro.

    I've been using Ice Kream and/or Passau gliding polish for a couple of years, so once I get my tape on I'll try to remember to give a comparison. As far as durability goes, this is supposed to be used for protecting automotive paint from stone chips, based on that I don't think sliding on snow and ice will be a big deal for it.

    I can now say I've skated with and against an ex NHLer and beat his team 3-1 in 4 games of rebound. Great time.

    I don't think it's the screws that are causing any damage, it's more the other hardware involved.

    While I love the convenience and consistency with these, I'm not loving the wear I've noticed to start on my skates and pads and will be going back to laces for the time being.

    The knee block material intrigues me, the other day I somehow got the paddle of my stick stuck under my knee and slid super well, even on ice that had been skated on for quite some time. I can see this being a game changer, but could also require good edgework to stop yourself.

    I don't think anybody's gonna take much notice of the skates a goalie wears. I've had 0 comments on using straps on my skates in the few months I've been using them.

    Yeah, I think I had a 75 in my G3 initially and swapped it for a 60. Same with my G4, however the G3 felt better than the G4 and now I have a G5 with a 60 degree insert and it feels once again more like the G3 did. I have the same G5 60 degree insert in both my G4 and G5 but they don't feel quite the same between the 2 gloves.

    Just received some disappointing news, the league that I mainly play in for the winter is not able to get enough teams/players this year to run a league. Guess it'll be a winter filled with pickup rentals.
