  1. Sorry yeah if was to get one of those masks. I would get ether the Essensa design or Potvin design on it.
  2. If I was to get a Harrison it would be a toss up between this design and Potvin one.
  3. My picks up the last couple of weeks, Max27 I know you might like these. Halak returns from his Isles days, the chest protector was a major bonus. Really like how the pads have the full primo inside edge just like the Optik/Gnetik 4 pads. This is my 3rd Halak return/Halak spec'd set I have owned. I had a set of his Pro Stocks from his St.Louis days and I have a set of Suzero 2/ Gnetik gloves in his specs I had made for myself. I sold my Bauer 2s pads and gloves to got back to them. Now the search is on to see if I might be able to find his Isle colored sticks. I used his Sherwood sticks all along and 2 years ago I had to switch over to composite after the last T-100 cracked.
  4. Crafted from the crease and looking good for the ladies....
  5. Always wanted a Snakeskin wallet...lol
  6. Came across this one catalogue online. The pro stock sticks at the back always drew me down there. At that time they were only place to get the real and same sticks the goalies were using in the NHL. I bought Snow, Kolzig, Giguere, Ouellet we some of the stick models I remember getting down there. 7. 1975 to 2019, there were the 1st original goalies only store that sold strictly goalie equipment. Honestly without them I don't think we would have seen the other stores that sell strictly goalie equipment open. I would love to make one last trip down to the store. They had some amazing goalie memorabilia on the walls.
  8. Heard the news a few days ago Don Simmons Sports is shutting down. Right now everything on sale, Mark's retiring and the business is ending for good on March 30th. Sad day, my 1st every set of pads Forrester air tecs came from Simmons in the early 90's. I remember when I went in there for the 1st time, I honestly thought I had gone to goalie equipment heaven. Back in the early 90's they were the only goalie equipment dedicated store in the world. I loved getting there catalogues in the mail every year, my parents use to wait for my wish list when there arrived. I used to make trips down there when I need new gear or sticks as they were the place to go. It's a sad day to see them go, but I wish Mark and all the staff all the best in retirement and the future.
  9. So went the opposite way with my lace, I put the knots in the front and gorilla glued the knot together. I haven't had any issues with it. I did it that way so i would have the smooth side against my skates.
  10. No he doesn't. All his stuff is based of the Lefereve and Bauer 960/1 shells.
  11. Most of the big brands prevent cross border shopping on there gear. Unless you have a friend or relatives who address you can ship to to. I tried to order some pro return sticks from goalie monkey USA a couple of years ago and they cancelled the order as they couldn't ship them out of the USA. Only the smaller brands let the folks from south border buy up here. Also once you get into personal shipping away from stores and company's you lose out on any deal as the shipping rates can be alot higher. Canada Post just jaked there rates up, after there lovely strike and UPS/FedEx are an absolute joke when it comes to shipping over the border. When the strike was going on I sold a pair of pads to a person in Manitoba, the cheapest courier rate I could find from Ontario to there was $125.
  12. https://www.prohockeylife.com/collections/senior-goalie-sticks/products/sher-wood-bpm-150-sr-goalie-stick-black-silver?variant=12121673039946 Sherwood BPM 150 stick $270 stick for 50% off. Picked up one myself. Sadly PHL will only ship within Canada
  13. A tip wih the leather ends is to find some snowseal or other beeswaxed bases leather protector it with soften them up and make them last a long time. I used snowseal and hair dryer on mine when I got them .The heat will melt the wax into the fibres and you don't have to worry about the leather getting damaged from moisture. I only did mine the one time and they still fine.

    New Team, Old Gear

Hell don't let them know that or they well come looking for you...lol
  15. Just use the normal suspender buttons on your pants, everything lines up great. I will get a picture later on as am at work right now.
  16. Wow, that's alot. John's original design came from my Duluth trading suspenders when I brought them in to get new pants. https://www.duluthtrading.com/mens-duluth-trading-button-suspenders-21125.html?dwvar_21125_color=NVY#q=Suspenders&lang=default&start=4 $20 and am going on 10 years with zero problems.
  17. Just picked up a pair of custom Bauers through a friend. I more or less got them because they have the black cowlings on them, in case something happens to black cowlings on my own custom Bauers. I may swap the steel out through as my own have regular Step steel and the ones I just got have Step black steel. Bauer won't sell me the black cowlings by themselves unless I do another custom order for skates, and chances of me doing that again are slim.
  18. Yeah I checked that one out and they don't have the selection the US one has and asked before and they won't bring something from the US site for me if I can't order it off that site. I honestly wish they would stock the same stuff but the Canadain one doesn't.
  19. I was told arm floaters and elbow padding is Sub 3. I only seen pictures so far and it will be January before I get it ,as it' coming from western us to northern ontario.
  20. Just bought this off Sideline Swap, made for Eddie Lack it's a mix of Brian's Gnetik II/Subzero 3. Once I get it my Brown 2300 is going in for a refurb after 7 or 8 years (I can't remember).
