  1. I’m about 3-4 in tonight, so I got you covered! Hic!
  2. Beer o’clock on a Friday! A very nice NEIPA from Great Lakes Brewery, cleverly called “Karma Citra” - and it’s sexy alright! Lost 5-1 last night, but when opposing forward and refs are saying “nice save, goalie!” I figure I did pretty well (aside from not scoring enough goals, which has also haunted by buddy Carey Price throughout his career...)
  3. Maybe this is a PEBKAC issue (entirely possible), but I can't see these...(?)
  4. Yeah, sorry for going right into that; there is definitely a "funny shit" aspect here I neglected to acknowledge! Man, that kid really gets moving there - better than a lot of my skaters (without goalie pads on!) And certainly better than me with mine on - LOL
  5. Oh, man - I cringe seeing this kind of stuff. I IMPLORE the kids on my son's team to NOT crash into boards and/or each other and/or the net. Scary moment at a practice last year when a particular little shit cross-checked my friend's kid into the boards, where he crumpled head first. I was roughly by the slot, and this was in the near corner, so I probably got there in a flash, but it seemed like forever to get there. My friend's kid was OK after, but that spooked me. If "Coach Lucky" is going to teach the kids one thing this year, it's to NOT do anything like this! (The second thing, if there is time, is that he thinks the 4-on-4, "no keeping scores" directive for Novice this year is a steaming pie of bullshit.)
  6. Fuck that shit, man - I’m living my dream playing goal - but it ain’t no wet dream! Lol! But even as a new, shitty goalie, I’m in enough demand to pick and choose my skates. Oh, and being on the ice 2-3 times a week to coach my kid’s team sometimes factors in too. So yeah.
  7. I was talking to a dude I play pick up with, and he gave me shit (playfully; he’s a good guy) for missing a game that was hours after a league Game I had. I said “I don’t play in wet gear” and he said “buy another set.” If you’re willing to buy me that 2nd set of gear, I might be able to provide consulting services. LMAO!!!
  8. No, actually- it’s stuffed with old wallets. It costs me about $3 per pillow, but I charge $75, and occasionally tell people that an unspecified portion will go to some charity, just to keep business booming.
  9. Personalized, in the “custom” sense, or stock? It’s tempting, cost-effective, and easy to do vinyl - I even did it! Lol! And as a nice bonus, you can just rip it off if/when you want. That being said, your starting point is super sharp already, so it would be pretty hard to screw it up!
  10. I have been considering it! The blocker seems easier to come up with something, but I'm hesitant about what to do on the trapper Quick and dirty (y'know you like that!), but something along the lines of this:
  11. Très cool! In a very-unscientific quick glance, it looks like Vaughn was the most popular brand at the camp? Is this generally true where you are? Just curious, as I know some brands are harder to obtain for our friends beyond North America.
  12. A bit late, but I got super busy when I first got these a few weeks ago, had a terrible first outing in them, and well - here we are. Snapped some pics last night before my game. Overall, i think I'd say it took me 2 games to get everything feeling good enough to not think anything of them while playing - but then after, when I take them off, there is a strong "Fuck, yeah!" feeling. So while they are not making me a better goalie, they are making me a happier, way-cooler-looking goalie. Oh, and a cool bonus - last night, first face-off in my end, the ref comes for the puck and says "Wow! New pads! They're really nice!" I said "Yeah - so don't let those jerks hit them with their shots... I mean, they're new, and I don't want them to get scuffed up..." He says "I understand - want me to get a white puck to play with instead?" LOL! And a family portrait I had forgotten having taken the day I brought the twins home. Even happier with the whole set comes together seeing it all in person vice fudging it with the customize.
  13. Dear Mr. @bunnyman666, This is great! I know Johnson needs protection; he would be nuts to not spend his wad on this. We appreciate you keeping us covered. Sincerely, Dick and the twins
  14. I've got a buddy who scored this same deal last week - though he's waiting on them being delivered. He'll be coming from old, heavy cowling 4mm (can't remember the model). How are you liking these? Do you think he'll have a tough adjustment...? I think he'll be OK, since he's in player skates 2-3 times a week between coaching and being a skater on a team in my league. Would be cool to hear what your impressions of these are - they look super sweet.
  15. My wife came to an average game that we lost in a shootout. Of course she missed my glove save rob of the other team's captain on a break away - which caused him to smash his stick and swear in frustration. Not much in what she took, but I grabbed this still from a short video. ...you can tell it's an "ACTION" shot because the dude in orange is blurred!
  16. LOL - well, the whole distraction of Texan Star-gate aside, the action pics themselves are pretty cool!
  17. That's real nice, dude. But credit where credit's due: How @coopaloop1234 got all those stains out in the short time he had with your glove before passing it along to you is beyond me!
  18. Aw, man - I feel kinda bad now; if I thought for a minute that it would actually cause you even fleeting anxiety, I probably wouldn't have posted that. But I'm glad you took it well, cus it's pretty funny Love/hate you too, you jerk-faced jerk! LOL! And again - that glove is a beaut! Can't wait for you to get it! Cheers brother!
  19. Almost perfect, anyway. I guess you don’t mind that they misspelled “Vaughn” ...? (did I make you look...?) Beautiful glove, @seagoal! Congrats, man!
