Well, I thought all the arenas were closed, and all the hockey cancelled - until I got asked TWICE to play tonight. People are not quite understanding the enormity and gravity of the situation in (insert name of virtually any country here) Anyway, somewhere between self isolation and social distancing as we are, we are playing street hockey! I might make a separate entry for a gear review (spoiler alert: this Vaughn gear is legit!!!), but in the meantime, here are the action shots... sorta. Action actually came later, because I can’t shoot pics and pucks at the same time. note: my daughter did not play in the Vaughn gear, as it was way too big.

I don't have time - or money; instead, I have kids - LOL! I've tried a few of theirs (available at LCBO), but was underwhelmed, to be honest. I'd certainly travel to Brasserie du Bas Canada though! They are on point!

Yeah, I'm a fan alright! I tried to drop in quickly around quittin' time on Friday, and couldn't even find a spot to park! I kinda miss the old days when they were much smaller; I'd go right in, talk to the brewers, no crowds or anything - but I'm happy for them that they're doing so well!

Was on the ice for my daughter’s practice, then coached my son’s team to another stunning 0-0 finish in which he had 7 goals, and the wife’s out shopping. As beer o’clock approaches, I’m trying to figure out which beer to drink. Any help, @SaveByRichter35...?

Nice one! You're lucky he liked it; so many kids hate it the first few times. My kid cried at the end of his first lesson, after falling so much; it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to see. He just wasn't a natural - but he's pretty impressive now! As for my daughter, well she took to it right away - like your son. Good - and great - times ahead for you, brother!

It really was! I had kinda shied away from that brewery as they had some underwhelming brews for a while, but a buddy whose tastes I trust brought these over for me and said they were really good.

I just may have recruited a new member to our ranks. My daughter's U-7 hockey skills program set up an exhibition game with another club, and asked if anybody wanted to play goalie. My daughter said yes right away! Gear was brand new, supplied by the club. Took the picture of her all dressed up before going onto the ice (Pro tip: always take a pic before they get on the ice, and are still smiling because they have no idea how hard it will be, or how badly it can go - lol!) It actually went really, really well! She might be a natural - and she certainly outshone her old man!
