  1. Great set up! Not sure I’ve seen it with the jersey and everything. You standing in your Habs jersey and gear, right under the “Home of the Toronto Marlies” sign Is just gold, man! LOL!!!
  2. Man, I have ZERO genetic (or should that be G-Netik? LOL!) links to Sweden, but I just love your whole set up dude. I've been watching the World Juniors, and you look WAY better than their goalies! Props.
  3. You mean related to Michel in the story? Nah, no relations or anything - but my Father in Law is a francophone in Montreal, and he would probably get a kick out of it.
  4. Merci pour le lien! Great little write up there. Kinda want to send it to my Father in law, and say "hey! I have these on my pads!!!"
  5. Really glad to hear that; it's always soul-crushing when you find out that an athlete you really admire turns out to be a douche, a cheat, an asshole, a wanker, or all of the above (y'know, like 95% of the time...)
  6. Wadda ya mean "that's what is next"...? That's already been allowed for years now: I immediately thought of this when I read your post, Bunny! I used to love Nelson Emerson, from back when he was in Hartford. Not his finest moment here, but hey - he who dares, son!
  7. Steve, I’m sorry I’m a bit late to the party here, but please count mine as another voice in adamant favour (fellow Canadian, hence the correct spelling of “favour” - lol!) of your continued sharing and posting! I’ve always been a nut for goalie gear, and hockey history, and I always marvel at your posts! I mean, if I was made to feel welcome on this site as a 39 year old who had NEVER played goalie on ice before, then your rightful place as a valued contributor is assured! Cheers Steve!
  8. I’ll say - as recent as page 15/last Friday, when you first posted these pics. I mean, you said you were at a Christmas party, but MAN you must have gotten fucked up! I bet morning-after SBR wasn’t too pleased - lol! I wanted to ask about Garvies Juice Break, but figured you wouldn’t remember much. Has a pretty good rating on Untappd though. Thanks, man. He scores a bunch every game because he was egregiously overlooked during club sort outs while the fat fuckers doing assessments focused on the clique kids whose over bearing parents made back door deals to make sure their can’t-skate-little-shits made the “A” and “B” teams. So he’s stuck on C, even though he’s second year/senior Novice. Oh, and all of this fucking bullshit politics and crap? Yeah, it’s for 7 and 8 year olds playing house league. Unreal.
  9. After coaching my son to an 8-goal performance (Its just 4 on 4, half ice novice... but still, I’m a proud poppa), I figured I earned me some libations. Good beer, great name and label design!
  10. That first picture, with the Summit Series jersey... and the mask... my heart is all a flutter! Lol! Out of curiosity, why “the Big M” jersey? Phenomenal player - but didn’t he pull out of the series? And Pete, well... that goal he scored in game 2 is still one of my top goals of all time!
  11. Never knew that “newkie” was regarded with such disdain by Brits, until an English colleague came over and explained that it was pretty much what bums drink out of paper bags. Is that about right? Myself, well I quite enjoy some newkie. Oh, and I enjoy Newcastle ale as well - lol!
  12. Wow - that looks like it hit square, vice glancing off. Had your head turned to the left, or hard shot from the right of the net...(?)
  13. Weird one Last Thursday night, which really hurt because it went in after hitting me. Still can’t figure how the angle worked, and I didn’t think it was a hard shot either... But the part sorta inside/behind my thigh where the pants have no protection. Pretty bad after a few days.
  14. Just had a tamarind stout from a buddy who has a very small microbrewery. Story goes that there was a project with tamarind in the name, and someone dared him to make a tamarind stout. Came up a tiny bit thin for a stout (toeing the line between porter and stout), but it is really good!
  15. Wow! That’s sad to hear about CBS - but hey, if you don’t like something, then you don’t like it! Why waste your time?
  16. That’s not the colour I’d expect of a current NEIPA. How was this, say compared to Treehouse IPA...?
  17. FINALLY cracked this TIPA! That’ll do, pig. That’ll do.
  18. I see you took out the straws, and took off the beer cozies off before posting. Classy as always, Coop!
  19. Fuck me - is it really? I had a buddy bring me one from his trip to the US last year. It was better than average, but there's no way I would rank it within the top 5 IPAs in the US. I think Tree House alone has 5 better IPAs than this one. And maybe some of the VT brewers, too (Foam, Hill Farmstead, Frost, Upper Pass). But maybe I'm somehow biased. Yeah, things have been cray cray at home, so I haven't been able to settle in with the TIPA yet. My kid's birthday this weekend, in-laws coming from out of town, then beating it back to Montreal on Sunday to see my folks... not sure when I will squeeze it in, but I hope to have it soon!
  20. You filthy bastard... I have a TIPA in my fridge that I'm waiting to have (another Novice practice tonight, so might have to wait until tomorrow...) It's a collaboration between two of my favourite breweries in the region - Dominion City and Brasserie du Bas Canada, over in Quebec. Had a sample at the former, and straight up told the guy "Fuck, Yeah!" I'll post it here when I do have it.
  21. No, of course not; at 16, you were probably just in your bedroom, abusing yourself!
  22. That looks perfect. Trade you the chin strap out of my helmet for one...?
  23. Nice job on the sweet win! That must have been really satisfying! I like some of the Southern Tier stuff I’ve had over the years- but it’s been a while! Cheers dude!
