Not having white (or a very light grey) as a base color for the custom sticks is a bit frustrating. The darker colors that I like for the rest of my gear just don't go well with the black or dark grey base and those are the only two options.

Did you profile them, or sharpen them differently as compared to the 190s? If not, how is the stock profile on the True 2-piece? I haven't gotten my hands on them yet (a couple more weeks before I have the free time to drive up - curse you, waiting!), but I've heard that you don't need as low of a radius with them. I currently use 3/8" on my Grafs, but I've also never replaced the original steel that came with them (I think it is pretty soft), so who knows what the profile on them looks like now.

Part of the sizing discrepancies might have to do with the way Warrior only goes up 1/2" in the shin for the 1" bigger pad. This is from the R\G3 and R\GT release, but I assume it still applies to the new models. https://warriorhockey.com/2017/06/12/ritual-g3-and-ritual-gt-sizing-guide/

@Kirk3190 After seeing the pictures of new R\GT2 sets posted here and elsewhere online, what was the design decision for going to a binding around the main knee block on the R\GT2 and R\G4, when the R\G2, R\G3, and R\GT all had completely bindingless knee blocks? You can see the snow buildup on it in the picture below for the R\GT2, and the binding in the picture of the R\G4. As the first (or one of) the first companies to do a bindingless everything, I'm curious as to why Warrior is re-introducing the it in this area.

The website is nicely redone. One small typo on the sizing guide page - I think this should say "Pants" instead of "Blockers & Catchers" (there is already a Blockers & Catchers further up that page)

Update: Got a call from GoalieMonkey on Saturday (March 30) that the skates were in. Unfortunately, I won't be able to pick them up until late April, but a turn-around of less than 4 weeks from order to delivery is quite good! I'll post a review once I've got them on the ice a few times, probably closer to June.

The side-by-side pictures on the previous page make it look like the R\GT2 lower and upper arm sections are wider than on the original R\GT. Is this the case? The original one was very comfortable when I tried it, though I ended up going with the R\G4, so I'm looking forward to trying this one on in store soon.

What date are they available on the retail floor? I want to get my hands on the pieces before I commit to an order, and I'll be up at goaliemonkey in Dallas in a few weeks when my True skates come in. I had warrior G2 pads and really liked them, and am currently using G3 glove (amazing - best glove of its generation imo) and blocker (comfortable, great finger protection, good everywhere except for paddle-down situations - but that could also just be me).

The classic graphic also looks really nice. But now I have a dilemma - which one should I go with? It is kind of amusing that they left in the single T on the R\GT2 when they updated the customizer, when the double T is stock (I believe).

I think this is going to be my new set.

Do we know what time and on what website the customizer will be released today?

They don't make stock half-sizes - there is an insert at the end of toe on the inside that can be removed (or added?) to make a skate into the half-size. As far as I am aware, the custom skates are custom to your size, whatever that may be. True sizing seems similar to Graf, but runs maybe a little smaller. For reference, I am 5'7", 165 lbs, and wear a size 8-8.5 men's shoe and a size 6.5 Graf skate. I tried on a stock True size 7 (they didn't have a stock size 6 in the store) and it fit quite well. There was a small amount of extra room, but a size 6.5 True would have been just a bit too small, so I'd say a size 6.75 True is equivalent to a size 6.5 Graf.

Got scanned for a 2-piece on Monday when I was in the area for work. Now the wait! I tried on all the brands of skates in the store, including the "stock" True in my size. Compared to my current Grafs, True was the only one as comfortable - in fact, the True skates I tried on in the store were even more comfortable than my current well-loved and well-used ones. It will be an interesting transition to both a cowlingless and taller skate, but I'm excited for it.

I think this is the point we're both trying to make, and it's pretty well illustrated in both of our posts. You think they feel very different, and I think they feel very similar (these two specific gloves). Saying to someone "get this glove Y because it feels like your current glove X" will be very subjective, and so I don't think it's very helpful. Instead of comparing generic break angles, etc. I think it may be more useful to talk specifically about what people like in their gloves internally: do your fingers spread out inside the palm, how much wiggle room is there in the finger stalls (and do you like that), what angle you hold your wrist at, what angle the glove tries to put your wrist at, do you wear the back hand loose or crank it down tight (and where those straps are on your hand can play a huge role in comfort), and a myriad of other little details that all combine to make up a glove that we enjoy using.

The T5500 was my favorite glove until I tried the G3 Pro (75 degree liner). I thought they both felt very great, similar, natural for my hand motion, and the G3 Pro had immediate snap closure out of the box. I guess this is just further proof that gloves are 100% personal preference.

Brian's did a recreated graphic for me on my original GNETIK full set of the old Louisville Icecap graphic. It turned out fantastic, and I don't think that graphic (or the goalie division of the company) had been in business for years at that point. I don't feel bad about it at all, and if I recall correctly they made a point about only recreating graphics that were not commercially available anymore. When I was first starting out, my parents got me some gear from Simmons because it was cheaper than the big-name brands at the time and hockey is expensive. I don't begrudge any parent who wants to go that route, though nowadays there are many more levels of non-pro gear than I think there were when I was a child, and also shops like Passau and Kenesky.

I've been thinking about it. There's another goalie in my league who has a custom set from them and it looks really sharp.

I'd talk to Rance at thegoaliecrease.com - I ordered a new Mage from them about a month ago, so they should be able to get you a cage from Sportmask. The long cage fits on a Mage RS, but if your Mage RS came with a short cage, you need to drill different holes for the screws. My Mage RS has a long cage and the holes for it are on the bottom of the chin area. Side note: My current Mage RS was built in 2009, according to the manufacturer sticker on the inside of the helmet. It's a great mask, especially if you're a smaller person like me (5'7") who finds the chins on regular masks too long to be comfortable.
