the heel on the Price is more rocker rounded vs wedge making the lie feel lower.price pattern u can go longer then the warrior bc of that.
the twist is more flat on the bottom of the blade.
The lie is physically different. I own both its not the heel
Twist is definitely not flatter on the bottom of the blade that's why I switched away from it

Looking at the curves, I know the blade pattern difference compared to CCM and over brands but is there much of a difference between the wedge and the twist. Looking at them they don't seem to be drastically different from inter-web pictures lol.
I'm currently a CCM Crawford user which if I am correct is closer to the twist.
Wedge and twist are very different. The bottom of the blade is much rounder on twist and the blade has more curve. They're pretty similar in how much they open but I've always struggled to deflect pucks until I switched to a wedge curve.
You're correct Crawford is similar if not the same as a Warrior twist. Price is the same as warrior wedge

There's definitely something different between the EF5 Price curve and V3 Wedge curve. I've never been able to put my finger on it but the lie might be the answer

Here's my favorite set of the khl all star series. Made by Mark Hockey and uses printed jenpro and patches all sewn together. Imo the printed graphic across the whole sliding surface and backhand of the gloves are giving bauer a run for its money

I recently picked up a Lefevre 12.1 blocker on clearance and noticed something odd when it arrived. The photos I've seen for the 12.1 look like this:
But when it arrived, my blocker looked more like the 12.2/PX3 design
12.2 for comparison
It kind of looks like they'd moved to the new design before the True acquisition, and just rolled it out for the end of the 12.1 run. Did people know about this? Did I just get a mutant Lefevre branded 12.2?
This is the difference between the 605 and 595 blockers. 605 had the binding on the sidewall (like Eflex 4) and 595 didn't (like premier 2)

I saw that he’s just slowly moving more and more to Bauer next will probably be a Bauer blocker
That would be sweet to see. They make really good stuff. I may give it one last try but likely rolling with warrior

no 27.5 warrior is not 26 ccm in all cases.
if u change the shoulder paddle pattern it will be diff on where u hold it
AND
if the blade is flat vs rocker or semi rocker the connection to the ice and how where it is position is diff.
which also ties into the lie to an extent of the rocker shape.
so no dont make an assumption.
its as dumb as people asking what skate sharpness they have when they have all diff skill levels and diff ice temp and rockers profile on their blades.
of stupid people saying i need +1" thigh vs +2"thighrise on 2 diff brands and models at the retail level, and diff years.
This only applies when measuring from the toe of the blade to the shoulders. When measured heel to shoulder, no matter the pattern, they're almost always the same with minor manufacturing inconsistencies

Fair enough so to stick with a stick that has a more traditional feel go with the V series.
Sizing wise if I am in a 26" CCM now I would have to jump up to the 27.5 in warrior to match is that correct?
Yup and yup

The M line is warrior's "innovation" line with unique paddle geometry creating a low, whippy, kick point and next year will have the m2i asymmetric shaft design too.
The V line is warrior's more traditional line with normal paddle and shaft geometry and a mid kick point.

Maybe state the amount of times you hit the ice a week since?
Edit made. But just so you don't have to go back to that post:
Since the last update I've joined a team in Illinois and been on the ice 5 days a week for 2hr practices. In Sweden I was averaging 3 days a week with an hour long practice.

Now that we're halfway through the season I'll add some more wear pictures later today. Since the last update I've joined a team in Illinois and been on the ice 5 days a week for 2hr practices. In Sweden I was averaging 3 days a week with an hour long practice. Got a small scratch on the thigh rise and one of the eyelets on the glove thumb plate has cracked. No not the whole thumb plate, just the eyelet at the top. Warrior laces their composite plates in with the perimeter lacing to improve consistency of the closure even with the lack of palm lacing. Blocker has a few small wear spots but the palm is holding up great

As loyal as wolf is to ccm I'm betting he becomes a Brian's guy eventually. At some point ccm is going to tell him no more EF5 sets and that's when he'll switch to iconik pads and blocker with an optik glove

Okay thank you! If this makes more sense, usually when you see a goalie play and drop in the butterfly, the five hole will mostly be sealed completely. However, when I tried on the pads, the top pieces sealed together in the butterfly, and the bottom pieces were not sealed. It would kind of look like a slim A.
My warrior pads had the same issue. I believe it's caused by manufacturers switching to smaller boxes for shipping, sometimes causing the pad shape to change

In the past I would often change equipment pretty frequently (sometimes multiple times a season). It's been a struggle to find pieces that fit me well and perform how I'd like. I would love to say I'm in my forever set now but odds are I'll still upgrade when I can so long as the new versions aren't too different from the what I'm using now

For very few of us on here it's to attempt to gain a competitive edge whether that be in youth, juniors, or college hockey. For the rest of us I have no idea.
I've really only recently found what works for me in all situations and now I'm trying to find a set that does that rather than continue modifying my own. The things I tend to wear out most are gloves and skates which is really all I'd need to replace year to year. But when a manufacturer fixes a problem I've genuinely encountered and attempted to fix (G6 lack of calf pillow and mediocre strapping) it makes me more inclined to replace my set.

He's next. Probably G6.1
54 minutes ago, coopaloop1234 said:Though, if the default stiffness is the same as the G6, I'd probably go a tad softer. My Ultrasonic stiff/curve profile is about as ideal as I want for a thighrise.
It's expected to be the same as G6. The below the knee break on my G6 set has broken in nicely and started to take a curve so I'll probably stick with a stock stiffness set for myself

The entire design was THE reason I went with my RGT set in the first place and abandoned Vaughn. I've tried a myriad of gloves from other manufacturers since (CCM 2.9, Hyperlite, Mach, 2S) and they've all never done the trick. Mach was the closest and a lot of that had to do with the absence of the wrist strap.
You'll be happy to know I converted a kid who's been loyal to all bauer gloves since 1S to a G6.0

Yes, their design is completely different from the classic design of other manufacturers, but over the past 5-7 years only Bauer has truly introduced something innovative. Or maybe I just don’t understand the meaning of the word “innovative” correctly
You are correct. Warrior hasn't really brought anything new to the table in quite some time but with the way they've been building pads since G2, everyone's only recently caught up.
G2 had an integrated knee block, pretty solid rebounds, very good sliding for the time, super soft glove off the shelf, no wrist strap, adjustable blocker finger protection, inset knee strap for extra stability, and of course the wonderful shin pillow which made the pad feel more connected
